Vietsub | Running Up That Hill 1 Hour - Kate Bush | Stranger Things 4 | Lyrics:
It doesn't hurt me (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Do you want to feel how it feels? (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Do you want to know, know that it doesn't hurt me? (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making? (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
You
It's you and me
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
Say, if I only could, oh
You don't want to hurt me (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
But see how deep the bullet lies (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Unaware, I'm tearing you asunder (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Is there so much hate for the ones we love? (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Tell me, we both matter, don't we? (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
You
It's you and me
It's you and me, won't be unhappy
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building (Ye-yo)
Say, if I only could, oh
You (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
It's you and me
It's you and me, won't be unhappy (Ye-yeah, yeah, yo)
Oh come on, baby (Ye-yeah)
Oh come on, darling (Ye-yo)
Let me steal this moment from you now
Oh come on, angel (Ye-yeah)
Come on, come on, darling
Let's exchange the experience (Ye-oh, ooh, ooh)
And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
I'd be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
Say, if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
I'd be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
Say, if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
I'd be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
Say, if I only could
Be running up that hill
With no problems
If I only could, be running up that hill
If I only could, be running up that hill

Nobody questioned that the 80s had good music. It's just not the type of music that we listen to. As someone who was born in the early 2000s (i'm 19 now) I appreciate that there are absolutely amazing songs from all decades. I listen to some of them sometimes due to my brother and my father introducing me to them. However, I must admit that I only listen to these songs when i'm really depressed because it reminds me of the good memories with my family. Most of the time when I feel sad or run down, I listen to Juice WRLD. Everyone has their own style that they like and his is what I relate with the most, that's not to say that others can't find solace in other artists. Sometimes all you need to stick around is a good song. This is definitely one of them.

"Come on baby, come on darling Come on angel, come on come darling" Perfect placement in the scene with Max.
I recorded this song on a cassette in 1987 and would play it over and over again. The 80’s songs had powerful lyrics and a hypnotic feel good rhythm. No pills for anxiety, depression, adhd, this was my only therapy.

It helps to find one thing to keep you going, not everything. What I mean is we feel as we have to save the world [that's a lot for anyone]; its much easier to find one thing. There was a old movie with Sandra Bullock and she was in rehab...one goal for a man also who was also there, was to keep a plant alive for a year. Much easier to keep one plant alive over fending for an entire nursery. Hope this makes sense! Remember we are all fighting together in our own way and nothing wrong with getting help even if its from a friend over a family member or some random chic online [ahem, me].
When you still have the album from 85 with all the scratch marks on it.. Priceless! XO

It was the power of a people in the absolute pinnacle of their golden age, yet haunted by the specter of the cold war. That duality colored everything my generation has made and experienced. For we were the last. The last to live before the dawn of the digital age. The last who were old enough to remember what was, the freedom now lost. For I was born in the 70's. The 80's and 90's were my time. The era I did my growing up in. When we walked in fields of gold, watched the sun set across the Pacific, and the waves wash upon the beach as the day burned away to twilight.

There was nothing like it. It was a decade in which every single event was underscored by a new hit MTV song. It was my decade. High school in Miami in the early 80s, and watching Madonna and Miami Sound Machine blow up. Then New York University in the late 80s and I can't even tell you how wonderful the British invasion was in those years.

I was born 1988, and in 1992 they used to play this song on FM radio multiple times daily. Being a 4 year old that "yohhooo it's you and meee.." part gave me goosebumps as a kid and it was not comfortable, it felt like something's going to get me. When I watch Stranger Things 4 episode 4 I believe that same feeling when I was a kid came rushing back to me add the intense scene with Max escaping Vecna.😱

As someone who is 49 who came of age in the eighties, I am shocked at how much this show has put the eighties on the map. I want to state that as someone who was always a punk and rebel with a cause back then as an Indigenous activist at the age of 15, I was crucified and made fun of for listening to this music. Now it is "cool". And I am glad for that, but there have been decades I have suffered from listening to this music and nobody realized how incredible it was, so they looked at those of us who were different with shaved heads and combat boots, projecting their bullying onto the young people (and old ones) who thought the music was incredible and labled us as "weird". It is always good for the music to reach new generations; but let's not forget the older generations where we had our own meaning attached to the music and lived through it. When I first heard Kate Bush to my young, innocent ears as an empath and an abused child of alcoholics, the music hit my ears differently and tears just started flowing down my face. She was able to communicate deep things that I could never express. Kate Bush deserves all of the recognition she never got.
