I too am an 80's kid and miss it so much people don't really know how much we have lost. For me the 80's and 90's was a very special time full of hope and anticipation for the future alas the mellenium and beyond has been nothing but a disaster wish we knew what was coming so we could have changed it 😢😢😢

I grew up in the 70s and 80s. Watching Stranger Things always feels like going home again. What a time that was.

They weren't wide spread you had to use you're brain to survive and figure it out for yourself and problem solve and feelings didn't trump common sense. Not many of you're generation will survive a real crisis because not many of you have these basic skills or intelligence to do so and are ignorant enough to believe you are better then the dinosaurs that came before you. Listen to your grandparents they will teach you more then any school uni or muppet on the Internet spouting crap.

The way "Kids" transitions into "Kids Two" into "Teens", just like the party transitions from being kids into tweens and then teenagers makes me so emotional. I was 12 years old at the same time the kids were, and over the years I have grown with the characters. I went from being 12 at the beginning to being 20 when it's ending, and it kinda makes me want to cry, knowing that the series is gonna end but I'll keep growing. This series means so much to me, I'll always carry it in my heart 💗💗

Stranger things has by far the best soundtrack

How weird is it that Kids elicits such a nostalgic feeling, even from those of us that weren’t born yet in the 80s? The first time I watched Stranger Things and heard it, I got such a strange and comforting sense of Anemoia and Fernweh. Nostalgia and homesickness for a place I’ve never been or a time I’ve never lived in. Now, having watched the series since it came out, often watching it over and over, I still get that feeling every time. Part of it is related to how much I love the world of Stranger Things, but there’s still a mysterious nostalgia i can’t place my finger on. It’s incredible how some people playing synths can make us feel such emotions.

Stranger Things is fairly derivative and for fans of John Carpenter/ sci-fi /80s you see lots of familiar moments BUT it’s a guilty pleasure. The only way it could be better is if it was actually made in the 80s.

when stranger things came out I was 16yo in high school I watched it in a boy’s netflix from school, because my cousin tell me it was the best show he has ever seen today, 6 years later, the boy is my beloved boyfriend, and my cousin has passed away… listing to it makes me go back where everything was simple and comfortable, it’s just terribly weird how time pass so fast and change everything in your life, and yet, when I listen to Kids, I still feeling this good moment in my bones

What a beautiful memory. I have no specific memories attached to this soundtrack, but it's still the most nostalgic playlist I've ever heard. It's so wild how music can bring you to such a specific place emotionally and in memory. It's great that you have this memory forever. 💙

Season 5 is going to come out in about one year. While listening to these tracks I just can’t think of all this ending. All these years. I’ve been watching stranger things since I’m about 11. At the end of the show I’m going to be almost 17. All these characters have followed me and so many other teens almost through their entire teen-hood…

I can understand. Then i was younger i sometimes took a break before finishing a book/series. It prolonged the feeling that " i am inside" and haven't left alone. Unfortunately everything tends to be over and it's important to left go. But memory and influence of the experience will be always with you ❤

I haven’t watched the show from the beginning (I hadn’t even had Netflix acc back then) so I’m not here as a fan from the very start. I just heard about it here and there (saw some scenes from S1) and only know who Finn Wolfhard is, bc of the movie IT. (It was during my college years!) However I started watching in late summer/early autumn 2019, just a little after S3 came out, and the hype was giant everywhere. :’) I watched all three seasons in one and a half month (cuz I’m not a binge watcher type 😅) I became a fan, and that was a fantastic period of time for me, as well as the wait for S4 post-pandemic. I’m older than you are in the comments but the nostalgia hits me as well. The best scenario is that I still would be in my late twenties when I could see the ending of this great story…. :’) but approaching thirty is little more reasonable… (it sounds crazy right now)

80's Darkwave/Synthwave is just the best. So many emotions and without words. As Depeche Mode says "words are unnecessary, they can only do harm"...

Kids just hits me with nostalgia, some things about the past i didn't remember just hit me and it felt good

Everyone is talking about kids but in my opinion teens just hits harder. Maybe its because i started the series as a teen rather as a kid when it came out in 2016 but i dont know thats just me. When season 5 comes out we need a track called "Adults"

This mix is good and all, but when I listen to this while sleeping, I always wake up when it reaches Upside Down

Ah yes, my ringtone for 3 years now. Never gets old. I'm glad I went to the STRANGER THINGS EXPERIENCE recently. Might be once in a lifetime opportunity...so I went twice😏

I was in 4th grade when this came out, I’ll be about 17 once it ends, although I didn’t get to watch it until last year, I’ve been intrigued by it ever since I heard of it from the kids at school, and wanted to watch it so badly when I was younger, and now knowing it’s almost over, it feels so nostalgic.

Is it possible to be nostalgic for an era i bearly lived trough ?

This is some beautiful music, it reminds of being a child. I can never get tired of it no matter how much I've heard it. It hits home for me. Thank you for the share.

My husband and I, both 40, don't agree on much to watch and that's ok! He kept telling me "you should watch stranger things, you'll love it!" I resisted over and over and over. I thought it was some dumb wannabe 80s show, like a knock off wanna be silly show for kids, like someone wanted to re-create the Goonies just because it was '80s.' Now, he's watched it since it debuted in 2016 and always talked about it. One night he had it on in the living room with our son (it was season 4 when the kids are going after Vecna) and I kept turning up to look at the TV and realized i couldn't stop watching. It was nothing like I imagined and watched the final episode and asked him if we could start from the beginning. I didn't realize that it was both funny, silly, romantic, and damn scary all at the same time and the MUSIC.....VIBES. Now it's literally my favorite show and we watch it over and over again lol. In truth season 1 is my favorite. It's tighter, more focused and personal and less 'cinematic.' But love em all!

Just love the series and especially the music adds to the heart of the show. Took me forever to decide to watch it even though I knew about it since 2016 or so, finally watched everything back to back over the space of a month or two in early 2022; lucky for me, Season 4 was releasing soon so didnt have to wait long, but then the other half took so long, only to find out theres to be Season 5 which im still waiting for. Thats the best way to watch series, back to back, maybe 2 episodes a day minimum, 4 max or half the first season in a row. Spiderman's Mary Jane is a great addition to the experience. 😉 Nostalgia is hitting me hard again!

Эта атмосфера ностальгии, душевность просто на высшем уровне что заставляет вызывать эмоции даже когда ты никогда не был в Америке, никогда не был в 80х и у тебя ещё не прошло детство. Так что я полностью согласен что 1 и 2 сезоны самые атмосферные, хотя 3 тоже вышел обалденно, а четвёртый сносит крышу. Но всё равно не хватает той изюминки которая была в двух первых....)
