I've just come back from Vietnam and i didn't find it 'impoverished and isolated'! Vietnamese people are happy and very proud people, I found them respectful, helpful and very polite.

Dog and cat meat are not popular in Vietnam. Just a group people eat meat dog and drinking 🍻. In the past during the war they have nothing to eat that's why they had. But nowadays, many people love cats and dogs and they protect with all their life . Not much people eat dogs meat.

Vietnamese historically kicked out their colonial rivals and have defended their homeland! That alone gives them my respect! My barbers of 10 hears are Vietnamese! Much love to the people of Vietnam!

I was in Vietnam during the war. Up to this date I cannot face a Vietnamese without feeling guilt or shame. I was drafted and they jailed people for not serving back in those times.. That is, except Trump, who chickened out five times in a row, but that's other story. The thing I remember best is, I didn't hate the Vietnamese, North or South. In fact, being Mexican I felt a common culture with them The Vietnamese are beautiful people, friendly, kind and always smiling. Unlike the Gringos in the USA.

I went to Vietnam to find a wife. A beautiful country, I've been there twice now and married an incredible Vietnamese woman.

In 1971 I was stationed in Can Tho as a young US Army soldier. It does my heart well so see how lovely the country is now and the war is hardly part of their memory.

Vietnam is a good place to work. Healthy food and veggies. That's why I left my job in the Phils for 25 yrs and transferred in Vietnam. Cost of living is reasonable. Safe place to stay.

I travelled to North Vietnam in 2007 and visited extensively. It is a great country on a path to rapid development in agriculture and industry. As an Indian I really felt at home in this wonderful country. Way the country is fast developing, soon the country shall move to a developed nation. We Indian love this fiercely patriotic friendly and brave people.
