Daniela can you tell me if we rent a motorcy, I have read online that the police require a Vietnamese motorcycle license. My American and my Thailand motorcycle license is not accepted there. I also heard that you not accept International driving permits did you rent a motorcycle do you know about these laws

@@dani-moves Some fun facts: - The weather on Bà Nà hills is pretty much random. You can have four seasons in a day. This minute it is sunny and springtime and all and seconds later you may enter Silent Hill outta nowhere with the damn fogs and clouds. But I love it. Used to live up there for couple months, and I love watching clouds outside my window down in the ravine. - Many locals believe the Lady Buddha ("Quán Thế Âm Bồ Tát") stature have been protecting our city since she was build from tropical storms and typhoons. - As you said, staying in Hội An at night is a must. Though it's crowded with tourists, it has the kinda vibe in Spirited Away, I don't know how to explain. At weekends me and my friends usually take a quick bike ride to Hội An, eat a "cao lầu", and go home, just that. Rule number 1: Never eat "cao lầu" outside Hội An. Just don't. It won't taste the same, even in Đà Nẵng. - You may encounter some random dudes like me and my buddies back in the day, when we were young and having some coffee and chilling in our favorite café on a sunny Sunday, and some random tourists came by and asked us how to get here and there. We would ask them to go with us, take them to wherever they want on our bikes, treat them with some real authentic and delicious foods, leave them where they want, and go home. And we won't let them pay a single penny. It's our sacred duty to make sure foreigners have a good experience with our cuisine which we love to death. For me "mì quảng" beat "phở" any day in the week. Newbie Vietnamese foodies love phở, veteran Vietnamese foodies love mì quảng. - All Vietnameses know Đà Nẵng is the best place to live in Việt Nam. And there's a spot near Linh Ứng pagoda, where you can have a full panorama view of the sea far down below. I won't say it's the most beautiful scenery in the world, but for me it is. Oh how I miss my hometown.

I’ve been to Hoi An twice and the last time was 3 weeks at New Years. I love it. I like it much better than Da Nang. But that’s just my opinion. I like the slow laid back pace and the beautiful lanterns and restaurants and coffee shops. And the friendly people. Planning to go there again soon

It is very beautiful...but check out some of Charl & Christine's videos from Ninh Binh (they have great videos from so many parts of Vietnam since they live there). Also check out Attila and Zae's recent videos. Sammy and Tommy make the most amazing videos, but they're only showing Hanoi right now as they are slowly uploading videos from their trip 2 years ago. Their videos are so good, even Sonny from The Best Ever Food Review Show left a comment, which is a great honor to them.

Ugh I know :( I’m sorry. I think sometimes I got unlucky with certain experiences, or maybe it’s my personality and preferences? I’m grateful I went to Hanoi, and I would not change that at all. I guess I also think of “would I live here”? Since I’m trying to establish a home base, and the answer is no for Hanoi :( but yes for Da Nang. Does that make sense? :(. Thanks for showing more of Marble Mountain and such. I love how close by those sites are and I'm such a sucker for things like that. The Lady Buddha is also amazing, but you missed the Cham ruin nearby, which overlooks the sea and is just beautiful. I've seen people mentioning how awesome it is to live there and how cheap one can live there and be so close to the ocean. I just need to be brave and make a move is all. :)

You can only move there with a pre arranged job, not as a digital nomad. They told anyone that was living there on a tourist visas to leave during Covid.

There are lots of temples in Vietnam and all said to be the best. Personally, Chùa Linh Ứng, Da Nang is the best in my opinion. Clean and not commercialized like many of the other temples.

Hi! That's right. They did not seem strict about masks in Da Nang at all. Some people wear it but it does not seem to be enforced. I still used it when i went inside supermarkets and things like that. but even coffee shops and some restaurants are open air so i did not use it then and it was never a problem, Thank you for commenting ❤️❤️❤️

yayy 💗💗💗💗 thank you! Omg you guys are so lucky! Can't wait to revisit Da Nang. I think taxis are really affordable and easy to handle in the city. You can rent a scooter but its more dangerous maybe and you will not be able to fully rent it legally i think. But with a scooter you can move around very easily. For a short stay there tho i think taxi is okay. have fun!!

I've been to the hand twice in my life and it is always smoggy and cold up there 😅🤣 never a clear day! Never tried the Thai Market restaurant will check it out !

Loved the video and will definitely go stay some in Danang next month, I do have a question though, did you guys see any Da Cau / Shuttlecock kicking there? Its the foot badminton sport thing. I used to do it a few years back in Ho Chi Minh City, and got super obsessed with it - the most fun i had in my life xD. So I'm curious if people play it in Danang aswell! :) Cheers!

Hello! Well it all depends, since I use American $ it was not expensive at all. In the description of the video I have the contact information of where i stayed and the taxi drivers that helped get around for cheap prices. I am not sure if their rates have changed, so it's best you contact them. I think Da Nang was one of my cheapest stays in Asia

i think you should go to Hoi An in the afternoon or night, it more beautiful than morning

I'm Vietnamese, an IT professional who loves travelling too. I've just done my road trip across Vietnam and also found that Danang and Hoi An are my favourite cities. Plan to relocate my life here in the next few years. Next time, when you visit Danang or Hoian or any other places in Vietnam, let me know then I can give you some local good tip. For example, Ban co peak (also in Son Tra peninsula) has breath taking view and very rich and well preserved environment (you can feel that the air there is much cooler than it is in Danang). :D All the best to your digital nomad journey.

Hahahahaha! sorry, you are right i did not elaborate. The city get super busy with tourists. All the street carts and stores open up. There is tons of music, street food, they light up lanterns (they call it the city of lanterns). And there is just so much vibrance and energy going on. Is unique really! Super pretty!

hi! not really im not one to follow advice on this one tho. i use ATMS just because i never carry cash to begin with. so when in need of cash i go to ATMS. not the best way to do it. maybe you want to go to exchange spots instead

You went to the wrong banh mi stand --- yes it's the same franchise; but the one that bourdain specifically went to his next to the market; you went to a different one. The offerings are slightly different too. I had both - and the one bourdain went to is yummier.

aww That's so sweet. Thank you! I think you should probably want to start in HCMC, then make your way to Danang + Hoi An, and finish up in Hanoi. I am not a travel planner :( - maybe one day i will 😇😇😇

You should check out Da Lat as that's the city for honeymoons or lovers. Lots of people love it because it's got lots of cute cafes, all kinds out outdoors activities, cooler weather, etc. But you should hit up Hoi An, too. If you want beach, then do Nha Trang or Phu Quoc. Everyone loves seeing Ha Long Bay, which should be a good honeymoon spot, but also check out Ninh Binh, which is considered the Ha Long Bay of the land (climb the mountain to the dragon and take the water boats through the caves). Hue might be worth checking out since it has the Imperial City. And many people LOVE Sa Pa. If you're gonna be up north might as well check it out as well as the Ha Giang Loop area.
