He only has to pretend he does, I do believe that he was not supposed to be shot in the ear though, but rather in the arm or something, but failed to do so. It’s very suspicious how he got that close anyway. Edit: also, some people in the audience (lady in the bottom right) didn’t seem to concerned at all pulling out that phone with a smile

Secret service is not the only protective measure so it is likely the attempt would not have been successful. Also there's no way to fully blanket cover an outdoor area with the limited team of secret service and other law available to cover a huge outdoor area.

@@eldonmcgee8062 Yeah I saw her too. Either she didn't fully realize the threat or she doesn't have the innate fear response to tell her that she is in danger. It's not everyday someone experiences shootings so I would expect some part of her response to question if she should take cover. Beyond that, I do question even with the limited security resources a presidential candidate, or former president has, how did they so easily overlook such a large and obvious gap in security for someone to so easily breach? Also why are there people saying they alerted police a good 4 minutes before the first shot and yet there didn't appear to be any physical response to the alert of danger. To some degree, this guy was successful in his efforts. I only know that if this were a president or head of state from another country, he would not have gotten that close.

The two women “guarding” the president look ridiculous. The one on the left is overweight and looks lost. The one to the right looks overwhelmed and seems to be more concerned with her sunglasses. Just go back and watch the video a couple of times. You’ll see what I mean. 🤦🏻‍♂️

how the shooter was able to access a roof that close to the rally? how is it possible to enter the stage within security while armed? how someone witnessed him climbing the roof armed and was only able to tell the police 3-4 minutes in advance of the shots being fired yet nothing was done to prevent it? Either an audio compressor is getting triggered and pumping down the volume to prevent clipping the recorded audio, or a live sound person is manually turning down the mic's level there ... To avoid clipping.

What the hell is going on with the woman on Trump's left and looking to the right before the shots are fired and then filming him and acting not scared as shots ring out and he is on the floor! WTF!

Is it me, or did they reduce the volume prior to Trump raising his fist as the crowd roared... I saw other versions of this video that didn't amend the volume.

Regardless of what you think of Trump, this is horrifying. How did we allow ourselves to get like this?
