The power of water is so scary as someone who lived through a whirlpool i can tell you the fear you feel when being dragged under water is unfathomable. My advice from my own personal experience, is to let the water take you don't fight it!! let it push you where it's going to push you and when you get the opportunity swim is hard as you can for the shore or low lying tree limbs. Dont fight the water save your strength and keep calm if you keep a level head your chances of survival increase greatly! Also protect your head and keep your feet in front of you. God be with everyone who is affected by this hurricane!

@@XRTSDFA no when i was youger i went through a really bad depression when one of my best friends shot himself and then a couple months later on my buddys 16th birthday he hit a patch of black ice and hit a telephone pole and died from his injuries. It was awlful and i lost myself for a few years and started doing life test's ia what i called them. Where i would try to swim across flooded rivers or id walk across frozen rivers or frozen lakes in the winter. I fell in many times and had to break through the ice to get out. After i matured i stopped testing myself and i use the knowledge i learned from that to help others. Have saved 5 kids from drowing and all kinds of wildlife as well as cattle and horses. Im never afraid to jump into a crazy situation to save someones life even if that someone is a dog.

Its for bragging rights, if nothing happens then they tell their friends that it wasnt a big deal. If they get slammed with a wave and dragged into the ocea and survive then they can brag about that. If they die then people blame search and rescue for not getting there fast enough because its not like emergency services are stretched thin and far as it is.
