I normally use the thumb grip but sometimes not. I really enjoy using the plate and I do have the bowl now. Both are great but the bowl is a bit better for eating and rehydrating in, plus it takes up a bit less space. If you have both, you can use the plate as a lid for the bowl by flipping it over and the bowl can act as a jumbo mug too. Thanks for watching and commenting.

You forgot to mention the plate is microwave safe. I'm actually using mine at home now since there is zero chance of it breaking if I drop it!

I couldn't help but laugh a little when you used the plate to eat with and did not use the designated thumb grip, lol. So overall how do you like them? Have you considered getting the bowl? As it seems like the bowl is better for dehydrated meal sizes..
