Naboris' size I can get behind, but Guardians are definitely NOT 7m tall. It might be around 7m if its legs are completely extended straight down but the body on its own isn't that massive compared to Link so it's actually probably more like 2-3m. Also that model is way out of proportion

That size is not right, if you go right up to a face of a guardian you should be a little shorter then it’s head, but this compared to the human reference makes it 2x~ bigger then what in the game

I love how they all have unique and cool names, then you just have "Giant Robot" from Call Of Duty.

interesting stuff! though i feel like the portal models might not be even close to accurate, wheatley notably is far too large. it's a common misconception that his game model is true to size, and simply ripping him and measuring him against a human model will give his scale, but valve scales their models to feel right from a first-person perspective so a lot or most of them are a lot bigger than they should be. in one of the end-game cutscenes when chell is holding him with both hands, he's a lot smaller, about basketball sized or maybe a smidge bigger. i think there's some other canon/dev material that backs up this point that i can't remember, but being in the portal fandom for six years i've seen a lot of discussion and cross-referencing about the true heights of the game characters so this is really familiar to me xD

If you've seen the Aperture Robot Repair VR demo, and compare the sizes between GLaDOS there, and her model from Portal 2 using something like SFM or Gmod, then you can see that they're about the same size. And placing Wheatley plugged into the mainframe next to his regular personality core form shows that they're identical in size as well. The robots shown in this video are all to scale, perspective is a bitch. They're really that big.

I'm more impressed at how tall Shepard must be... When you first talk to Legion in Mass Effect 2, Shepard is at eye level with Legion! I think the height of a geth Prime might be closer to what's in the video... Unless we count to the top of Legions antenna, then it might be right, but the comparison human seems tiny in comparison, and only reaches the hole in his chest...

Most of the imperium doesn't even know what an AI is, despite the fact what mechanicus call "machine spirit" is an AI A lot of vehicles in the 40k universe have complex AI, people just don't know, and so they can't activate them Even titans can have really complex AI protocols, the operator just don't know they exist and how to activate them What is forbidden is trying to heavy alterate existing machine spirit or trying to create new ones (wich is a task too complex to even achive), and even so some magos still do some experiments without being persecuted

The Scarab from Halo technically isn’t a robot.The inner parts are made of the Lekgolo (Hunter) Worms which control the movement.Just wanted to correct that.It was a good video though.👍🏻

Neither is the Death Egg, Titanfall mechas, Gundam, MG Rex, the Goliath and like the other guy said, the Imperator. The worst one on this list is Songbird, it's actually a guy in a suit, a heavily mutated guy that's basically a servitor, but still a guy in a suit

good job. Just imagen seeing those guys walking by at the horizon or in the streets - and you trying to stay hidden. As a fan of the German SciFi Series Perry Rhodan I would have been delighted to see some of those robots in this comparison.

I know this came after it was first released but where do you think robots from UltraKill would go in this list? Especially the 1000-THR EarthMover?

I don't want to be that guy but Legion is way too big. he's only about 6ft or 1.8m. Maybe you were thinking of the larger Geth like a Geth Juggernaut or Geth Prime?

But isn't Legion all of them after his Ascension? The Hardware known as Legion is only 1.8 - 1.9m though, a little larger than Sheppard, IIRC.

So many cool robots here-- and SOO MANY that didn't make the list! :D I hope someday there is a new version of this, and next time please include: Dorothy/Big O, Marvin/Hitchiker'sGuide, Tachikoma/ghostInTheShell, gun tank/ghostInTheShell, Gunhed/Gunhed, mechaGodzilla/godzilla?, Robo/GiantRobo, Gun Buster/GunBuster, Diebuster/Diebuster, ... (so many more I can't list!)... and ONE of the biggest: Toppa Gurren Lagann/GurrenLagann (10 million light years tall!:) or maybe do a biggest mechs video, since some of these robots could be argued to be very large semi autonomous mechs also... like Evangelions!

They called the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam the RX-78-2 again :/

@@kylejones1336 actually if you read the halo books yes they stay that way. They are made up of those worms. Actually they thought of the worms highly intelligent and then had them put in ships to help.

Warframe(game) would have some interesting additions to this series. Buildings, robots, monsters, ships.. Basically something in every category. Great video though.

Technically the infested are robots as they are a nanomachine virus, so technically speaking lephantis or that space infested boss should have been somewhat included in this video... If only people were well more aware of warframe

I suspect that Songbird is an iffy one because, like the Big Daddy, he was a cyborg rather than a true robot.

Just a lil mistake maybe other versions of the geth have 2.2m... Legion is the size of a avarage human, which can be seen on Mass Effect 2, when Shepard activate him

Communism failed in places like Germany during WW2 and the people were already in control of "western democracies" so went about it another way. Various communist ideas like Feminism, LGBT, Materialism, Liberalism and been thrust into society way before covid terror campaign. It's a systematic and calculated destruction of human civilisation

Honestly I think it would be really cool to see one of these but from ground level. Really sell the scale of some of these monstrosities

I’m probably not the first to point this out but the Scarab isn’t technically a robot as it’s piloted by lekgolo worms (hunters) but require a crew of other covenant species to keep them in check. Otherwise, great work!

i love how metal sonic is from a game just called “sonic” and not “sonic CD”

I feel like the tallneck and the metal devil from horizon zero dawn should have been added too

Yea i agree they both should have been added since the tall neck is taller than most buildings you see in the game and the metal devil is basically the entire mountain side in the game

Well the Halo Scarab technically isn't a robot, because it can be controlled. It is mechanical though.
