Video: Fairchild Wing Commander reflects on 1994 B-52 crash

All four people on board were killed. Several months later, an Air Force investigation determined the cause of the B-52 crash was pilot error. Fairchild's new wing commander was just entering the Air Force back in 1994 and had nothing to do with this accident. Col. Ryan Samuelson says that type of reckless airman ship just wouldn't fly in today's Air Force.

“Create a command climate that does not allow certain things to creep in??” “Employ your skill with incredible accuracy and precision” does NOT mean go hot dogging in a B-52 and crash it into the ground killing 4 people. It’s a bit late to learn from that. Colonel Holland used his rank to do whatever he wanted to do and it cost the lives of 3 other officers, left their families without a husband/father, and the loss of a multi-million dollar B-52. If we had the greatest Air Force in the world, that crash would never have happened. Covering for other officers, which is what they always do. Had that crash been caused by maintenance, they’d have prosecuted the entire maintenance branch. Typical Air Force officer bullshit.

Just to be clear. Col. Ryan Samuelson is not "Fairchild's new Wing Commander". He is the commander of the 92nd Air Refueling Wing which is based at Fairchild. Colonel Larry E. Gardner is the commander of the 141st Air Refueling Wing, Washington Air National Guard also located at Fairchild.

And there are STILL pilots hot dogging in the Mach Loop in Wales, all thinking they’re “Maverick” until one day…

I know he's using talking points I was in the military so I know what that sounds like. But that brings me to a very important question. Do you have proof?

Very good video; it was informative; and, to the point. Engaging videos like this enhance the legitimate and genuine respect we owe to the diligent men and women in the United States Air Force today. Thanks for posting this video.

Hopefully this is sarcasm. He completely avoided the question and regurgitated some pre scripted horse shit
