I just had plication surgery at 68. Trust me we are not rich. I went to a university hospital in Atl. I'm doing great. Lots of good Dr's can do this surgery.

They didn't have Diaphragm Plication, they had Phrenic Nerve Replacement from their legs.

I had a paralyzed diaphragm due to phrenic nerve damage. Neither the hospital nor the surgeon claimed responsibility for the screw up. My friend is the one who alerted me to go to the ER because my nails were discolored due to the lack of oxygen. 10 years after, I got a sniff test which claimed that my breathing was normal. Today, Feb 2004 I believe that my left side diaphragm is screwed. I am getting a 3rd opinion because it is hard to believe on the corrupt doctors who follow the insurance protocols.

It’s highly unlikely that Covid would’ve caused something like this almost always you would’ve had to have some type of trauma to the nerve typically from an invasive surgery. Are you sure you have a paralyzed diaphragm I would highly suggest having a sniff test done to confirm this.

@@briancastellanos3865 I am a retired vet. I would never consider using the VA to perform this procedure. Dr. Kaufman one only of a very few doctors available that has a chance of successfully performing this procedure.

I had a upper left lung pneumonectomy in 2015 and now I have an elevated left diaphragm. I have had no problems as of yet. I am 59 and am a 9 year lung cancer survivor.
