David you are right......but this job site was completely clean and free of even the small particles of: gravel, dust, etc. So I just threw it in. I left my climbing harness in the back yard and flew up to rig each pick, then dropped down and made the cuts operating the crane remotely. I wouldn't suggest working alone but in this case I had no choice :)

Seems like a waste of good firewood. How cost-effective would it be to just break it into 10 ft lengths and haul it away like that? Or do you have someone that will pay you more for the mulch?

Probably shouldn't shovel ground debris into a chipper, pebbles dull knives within a matter of jobs. I make my guys rake street rakings into Rubbermaid, then, gets dumped into dump bed.

I worked alone because a g ground I pulled the wrong rope and yank me right out of the tree so I just don't want to see that happen to anyone else so I do understand working alone I just hate to see it and I get upset over it just be safe out there

Like a boss! A grapple saw could have taken the place of the crane and the mini skid.

how much did this job cost? i'm thinking like $350-500?

You don't typically get a crane on a job without spending a grand. For 350-500 I may drop it in your back yard for you and let you deal with it(but I don't do phone, picture, or video only estimates ;), removal would be a lot more.

catracho28 Nunez actually it is a 55ton Knuckle boom crane. I can see how you think it is not though....knucklebooms have a much better power to weight to reach ratio. I also have a 175 ton knuckle boom.....it is the largest knuckle boom in the tree industry, in the world, for the last 10 years. I have been using these types of cranes operating remote controlled while climbing for over 2 decades with zero accidents. Thank You for your comment!
