It's from the movie "Hannibal." Patrick Cassidy created this piece for a fictitious opera about Dante's "La Vita Nuova." It's based on the 1st sonnet in the 3rd chapter, "In his arms, my lady lay asleep, wrapped in a veil. He woke her then and trembling and obedient she ate that burning heart out of his hand. Weeping I saw him then depart from me."

It is also played after the death of King Baldwin IV of Israel in the movie “Kingdom of Heaven.” Very interesting and tragic history of King Baldwin, sadly although a brilliant figure he is known more by the leper King.

Amazing music that grabs hold of you in a way that you can't prevent it happening. Then it makes you have all your emotions running around in your head. What a wonderful performance and I'm sure many will use it for their funerals. It touches you in every way possible. AMAZING.

At 03:02 as her head begins the gentlest of turns I could feel my heart splinter. Very beautiful.

I feel in love with my wife in writing her back and forth. We hadn't met in the flesh for a few months then we finally met in person. I had asked her to go on a date for dinner ...she turned me down. I was puzzled..but I told her she can always write me and I will respond regardless. We met and fell in love eventually. I asked her why did you turn me down for dinner? She said. I was falling in love with you in writings but I was afraid when we met..... you would not feel the same and my dream would have been over. It was the most beautiful thing I ever heard.

It really is stunning. It has stuck with me my entire life since first hearing it in Hannibal. I prefer the original recording vocally, but this is still beautiful.

This was an exalting experience. Freeing yourself to Travel into this experience is something that we rarely touch upon, today. Beyond Beauty, this was Something More...
