I may stand corrected, but in an interview she mentioned this being written away from home and it being a song of homesickness. I've been homesick for my mom since 1996. Lisa has kept me closer to her ever since.

probably far more likely than the wolf attack stories of frontier myth and we do have many stories of wolves rescuing or feeding lost humans or raising lost children, actually since Romulus and Remus, come to think of it.

So haunting. The music and the video. I was drawn to it when my grandmother died. And now again, as my dad is dying. It's that kind of song for me. Grief.

There is quite possibly nothing as imaginably beautiful to me as the voice of lisa gerrard combined with the majesty and intelligence of wolves. Just wow.

Hearing Lisa's voice....even my soles get goosebumps.

This song makes me cry every time I hear it,and all my animal friends I have loved over the years,I cry a lot,they were my children.

How beautiful to see each of u lovely post where we all come as one “religion of love” You don’t see this often on any site where so many nationality (As we are)speak the same language without hate Brothers/sisters and the rest nation of this beautiful Mother Earth keep spreading the love as love is only connection that should exist.....

Surely there is not a better, more haunting, more visually powerful, emotionally moving song and film clip on all of You Tube than this one. I wish they had used this music to the film The Grey.

Imagine the overwhelming life affirmation one would feel from being protected and saved by these wolves. Love you Lisa Gerrard, for me the greatest voice I've heard.

First time I ever heard this was in 2003 when it was played on West Wing during a montage. Thought it was one of the most compelling things I had ever heard -- the montage they did contributed to the mood of course -- just overwhelming.

It really was heartbreaking, almost if Zoey was slipping away right there in front from the greatest military power in the world headed by a president so pre-occupied with winning, he lost the greatest creation he ever had - His child. The montage optimized the growing realization of that no-one, not CIA, the FBI...not even Leo could bring her back.

Season 5 Episode 1. The montage of The President at mass whilst bombing the country he suspected being responsible for his daughters kidnapping was a paradox gave me an emotional gut punch.

The soul inside me is dancing super slow moving and so nice the flow and feeling..thanks for this music..touches and enriches the soul...very soulful music❤

Sometimes I feel for the young man. My brother and I did work on forestry projects in the winter,and know how he felt. But no wolfs,except when they torn the skidoo seat up.Love to wolfs, It a shame they kill so many every winter in northern Alberta .But must save the young bison.Thanks again for the video, and singer.From this average Canadian

Strange it was remixed to extend it, near the end of the real song... after 3:52 The first time I heard it, it was as early as late 1993, during a concert by Dead Can Dance. They have played almost 50% of new music at this concert... I heard it again when Lisa came to play in Paris to promote The Mirror Pool... Absolutely wonderful experience. This piece takes you completely, if you like it.... it is so intense... each timeI get shivers down my spine...

Makes me cry every time I watch it, thinking of what we've done to animals and to the nature. Hopefully one day, there will be no man on earth and these majestic animals can reclaim their kingdom.

She has lived as an observer. She has even had to kill a few of her kind. And it mentally hurt her afterwards. She lives in our shadow. Always observing. Never influencing humans.
