I agree, Wayne; your reviews are excellent. A question, if I may. I recently retired from a 45-year-career as a wildlife documentary maker and sold most of my gear; big mistake. I'm now looking for a couple of action cams as side units for some orchestral filming. 4K isn't an issue but an external mic is ... I need a good guide track for editing. The only camera I can find that has a reliable external mic and I don't have to sell my car to buy is the MUSON. It's cheap ($79 AUD) and the HD looks very good. Do you have any other suggestions, please? Many thanks, Bob H

Hello Wayne! First of all tank you for your reviews, time and I guess passion 😊. I saw many other clips but I always return to yours. Well, I want my first action cam but it’s tricky because the descriptions on online shops are poor. They are hiding the cons, of course and these are discovered after you get it. I found that maybe the way to choose a cam is to order 5-6 of them, testing, choosing one and the other send them back. For example, I sent back the AC700 because the dare&time resets every time you change the battery. I realize only when I saw the movies. So, maybe you can include these “features” in your reviews. I had a touch screen cam from Wimius and the screen became unresponsive when cold. And the touch screen cams are NOT fully operational by buttons. That’s why I’m not a touch screen fan as the most time I would use it in a case. So, thank you again and congratulations for your good job! Robert

Hey Kenibi2011, thanks for checking out my reviews. If you are looking for a good action camera made by Victure, I’d recommend their newest model, the AC940. It’s waterproof and shoots better video than the AC700.

That company does not make a wireless mic, but I’m sure you could adapt a unit from another manufacturer... you’d need an adapter probably to go from the standard 3.5 mm jack down to the smaller 2.5mm size.

Hi! I have a question, do you know how to delete the time-date stamp to no appear in the pictures? I could do it with the videos, but it still appears in photos. Thank you! This is the best video I have watched on YT about this cam.

That's very odd. Turning the Date Stamp off should make it disappear in both photos and videos. I just tried it on my camera and when it's set to 'off' I don't see it in photos or video.

Thanks for an informative video without extra non-sense which is hard to see these days. So basically this camera has no 4k video. Other than that very good. The external mic is very good too :)

Correct, this camera (at least the one I was testing) produced ‘stuttering’ 4K video, so not a good choice for 4K. The other resolutions looked fine, and the plug- in mic in a very useful feature.

Hello Kobian, I'm not sure how well this camera would work as a webcam, as I have never tried that. I am not familiar with the OBS program, but the camera does have an HDMI output, so perhaps it could be useful as a webcam.

Great review! I want to start a cooking channel in KZread and I want a cheap camera to start with, maybe put it in a tripod and record. Would you recommend this camera for something like that? No I would not recommend this camera if you want to start a KZread cooking channel. I would recommend a camcorder with a microphone input jack and a versatile zoom lens such as the Canon HF R800 camcorder, priced around $240. Check out this link : amzn.to/3bFJYYB

@@yeyomangekyu I use a Canon camcorder to shoot all my KZread segments. The lenses are really good and the video quality is top notch.

It's definitely weird in 4k 30fps on the victure ac700 and surfola sf230 image stabilization is not available but the price is awesome

Can’t do that. Can only use the plug-in mic when the camera is NOT in the waterproof housing. I really wish some camera company would come up with a Bluetooth wireless mic system so you could use the camera and the mic while in the housing.

Very true, most phones take great photos and amazing video, but most phones do not come with plug in microphones, waterproof housings and multiple mounting accessories.

@@TheOneCanoe Phones definitely have plug in external mics, they even have good ones, I noticed impulsive uses them on some of their podcasts. They have mounts for phones as well but phones aren't in the rugged durable point and shoot form factor most people want.

Thank You. I have not used the Crosstour Ct8500, although it is similar to the Victure AC700, and it also has a microphone input Jack. However I will be reviewing the Crosstour CT9100 soon. Also I am currently working on a review of the Victure AC900 Action Camera.

That's odd, Windows Media Player should work. I would suggest you download 'VLC Media Player' ...it's a free download and I find it plays a variety of video formats very easily.

Mine has sound when playing back on the camera. There is a 'volume' setting in the menu, make sure that is turned up. Make sure you did not turn the microphone 'off' by mistake. Also this camera does not record audio when shooting time-lapse or slow motion.

can I use it mainly as a car dash cam ? what micro sd card it can hold...?

sure, you can use this camera as a dashcam. It can be powered using a USB cable. It should work with any name-brand micro SD card. The highest I've used is 64GB, not sure if it works with higher sizes.

The remote control is waterproof, can it be used under water?

Hey Dyno Dan, Not sure what the issue is there. I checked the specs. of that Comica mic. and theoretically it should work, since it doesn't even require a battery. Make sure the switch is on 'camera' and make sure the adapter is making a good connection onto the cable. I've only used my AC700 with the supplied microphone.

This camera comes with 2 batteries, each rated at 1050mAh. You should get between 60 and 90 minutes from each fully charged battery. This camera does not come with a memory card. I have tested it with 32, 64, and 128GB memory cards, and they all work fine.

Go to the settings menu that shows the little wrench icon and scroll down the list. Below 'date format' you should see 'stamp' - make sure that is set to 'off'

this is a amazing review, but i dont think the video quality, expecially the 1080p 60fps i was hoping to use is really good

If anyone here is having issues hooking their android phones to the app, you may have to have the “Mobile data” turned off. I had a problem connecting and almost gave up. Lol. App works great..Will be taking it out on my bicycle then my 3 wheel motorcycle.

How can I upgrade firmware? AC900 don't appears in Govicture website.

There is an HDMI out, but unfortunately it is not 'clean', as it displays graphical information that cannot be turned off.

There are much better choices from Victure if you want better quality video from a ‘B Roll’ camera. The Victure AC940 is a better choice in my opinion.

For sure, most action cameras have a very wide lens, usually 170 degrees, so a good choice for those big landscape shots or shooting in tight places, and definitely cheaper than some of the glass required for a separate lens on a DSLR or mirrorless camera!

great report, but i have to admit there might be some sort of miss understanding regarding the motion studdering at 4K resolution - fir me, it seems to be result of the cameras shutter speed, which is always high if taking shots on bright daylight - this could easily be avoided by cranking down the shutter speed to match the frame rate you are using - old Video recording rule of thump - but you might run into the problem to have a harsh over exposure while turning down the shutter speed - therefore you would usually turn down the ISO and/or the aperture value to balance the exposure - on drones, we usually use ND filters to avoid this problem - maybe this shed some light and improve the rating of this nice little camera - Cheers Mike

Unfortunately, most of these lower priced action cameras have limited or no manual adjustments. You can sometimes ‘tweak’ exposure by adjusting the EV or the ISO, but aperture and shutter speed are automatic.
