Great information here thank you . These cameras are definitely more in my price range compared to the Big action camera people. I want to film more of my actual hunting next season so an action camera is definitely a must.

Looks like a couple great cameras, that mic looks like the same kind I got with my action cam, it only lasts a few months it seems. I like that you don't need the plastic case on the 940 to make it waterproof. Good review!

Excellent presentation - informative, logical, great sample footage. You did a great job assembling this video. Can you transfer files off the SD card by connecting the camera to the computer using the charging cable - or do you have to remove the SD card from the unit?

Gotta say pretty impressed with these cams Dave, Being a fishing channel, among other things, the 940 would be my choice. At that price , nearly half the GP that’s pretty sweet. I love my GPs but hate the limited battery life. This year I hope to go with an external battery pack ( review please ) 10 hours of straight filming time !?!? How much time do you take editing to find those parts of the day you use in a video ? .... wow ! Good stuff as always Dave. Thanks

Thanks for watching Don. Having 10 hrs of footage to weed through does take time but it eliminates the chance of ever missing the action. I usually end up dumping all the footage on an external hard drive at the end of the day, then sorting through it later (especially in the case of an out of state hunt). 👍

Both look like good cameras, I like using mine for underwater footage.

I have Victure AC940, it does not have a metal housing, the greater weight is the result of the added metal ring around the lens. A big minus is the lack of a charger, and the batteries are not typical, the same as in AKASO Brave 7 LE. Batteries are very expensive compared to other brands. I bought the camera for $50.14.

What battery pack do you use? If i may ask? Wow!! The ac920 n ac940 sound awesome!!! What another great thorough review Outstanding!!! Hope you have an awesome week! Thank you for sharing!!

Excellent review! I do have a question, can the cameras start recording from off position with the press of one button? In other words, do you first have to power on the camera with a press of a button and then press another button to start recording, or can you just press one button to bring the camera to life and start recording at the same time?

Hello Chuck. Yes both the 920 and the 940 have the auto record option. When you press the power button, the camera turns on and begins recording automatically. None of the older Victure cams had this option. It’s a nice feature 👍

Nice review! Seems that you’re sticking on Victure 😊. I’ve just ordered anAC940 yesterday. I paid about 80€ here in Europe. I’am thinking about the weight as I’m going to mount it on the bicycle/motorbike helmet and handlebars. I also sent back some cams because of various reasons. The last one,Victure AC700 forgets the time and date when you change the battery. Does any of these two do the same? Can any of them to take pictures while filming? I think that I saw this on a Crosstour cam, but not sure. It is possible to start up the cam via remote control? Thanks and have fun outdoors!

Thanks for watching my review! I have had no problems with the camera savings the date and time setting. Sorry, I have never tried taking a snapshot while recording (I do that in my editing software). The remote that comes with the camera starts and stops the recording or takes a picture but cannot turn the camera on or off.

They just keep making them better and better. Now they just need to come out with affordable action cameras with wireless mic set-ups. I had to go wireless on my stationary camera from all the noise of the water lapping against the boat and trolling motor hum getting transmitted through the boat and mount into the camera. It annoyed me so I knew it would annoy the viewers too. Sure makes switching out batteries a real pain in the butt too because the only way the mic will work is if I disconnect and turn them off, change the battery, then re-connect and turn them back on again... It's quite an ordeal. lol

Thanks for watching! You would need a mic with the micro usb end (or else you would need to also purchase an adapter). Most mic’s come with the 1/8” connection which is not compatible with the Victure. I have used the Purple Panda lapel mic kit (which includes the micro USB adapter needed). I have been happy with the performance of the mic (it’s definitely better than the included mic) 👍

Very interesting, Dave! Both of these cameras have impressive specs, and especially at this price point I'm surprised they haven't cut into the market a little of that bigger competitor, we'll call the company StayNovice. For anyone who films hunting, fishing, or just outdoors videos, having an action cam is virtually a must, and as a user of the other company, I'm definitely in the love/hate stages of our relationship. Poor battery life (although better with the most recent model), touchscreens that are either overly sensitive or under-sensitive to touch, and lack of easy and simple external audio options (just being able to plug the dang mic into the unit without some cumbersome adapter), are among my complaints. Really cool to know what cameras you've been using and see how well they work out for you. That image stabilization on the newer cameras looked great too!

Thanks for watching Randy. My biggest annoyance with action cams has always been battery life. I can’t believe they don’t figure out a way to get extended record times out of them. I resort to using external power but of course you loose any waterproof features at that point ☹️

Can you use the zoom while recording on the AC920 ? I like the AC 940 better for the sound since I will probably never use an external mic. but it don't have the zoom. I'm new to getting an Action cam, always had point and shoot with optical and digital zoom built in. Would video editing software allow me to take say 10 seconds of a clip and "zoom in" on that part ? Never really used video editing software but if thats possible I will get the AC 940. I don't like the microphone on the 920 at all.

Thanks for watching my review! You cannot zoom once the recording has started on the 920. Most editing software allows you to “zoom in”. That’s actually my preference (to crop my video in editing vs using any digital zoom on the camera itself.) Optical zoom is a different story, it’s all good then 👍

How does the waterproof case on the 920 effect the sound, Most times you see testing of cameras they never test sound with the case on, and mabey a stupid question do the go pro accessories work with these cameras, with no mounting points on the cameras themselves other than the 940 how do you have them on varied mounts?

When placed in the waterproof case the audio is very poor! I think you’ll find that with every single camera. The Victure cams will work all standard GP accessories. The 920 comes with a non waterproof housing that allows various mounting options while the 940 had the threads in the housing that also you thread in any mounting accessories 👍

Fyi. I just received the 920 and they added a tri pod mount to the bottom of the camera and the battery lid although not hinged was easy to remove and the menu looks to have changed from the unit you reviewed. So guessing they have listened and made changes after the release. Playing with the 920 I am super excited to get out and start using it and the 940 is next on the list. Victure Direct was running a coupon deal and the 920 cost me $76 and they are sending me 2 more batteries and a charger for responding to their Customer Experience card! And I did mention your KZread channel in the Customer Experience. Thanks again and keep doing what you do with quality products ..(Soon the Heated Jacket is on my list and the vest for my wife😁)
