My dad went to prison and I prayed he would truly find Jesus but he unfortunately found religion instead and went back to his life of sin when he got out. I still pray for him. I am so happy for you! pastor Terrence Terrence Did the Bible's God order the stoning of a disobedient child in Deuteronomy 21:18-21 and is this a violation of the Golden Rule? Did the Bible's author write that Yahweh ordered slayings in Exodus 32:27 and is that in compliance with the Golden Rule? Those deities that don't follow the Golden Rule are not Perfect in Love and therefore are not truth. Perfect Love is the objective moral standard.

Yea me too. I used to play this in church weekly and it was my favorite song to play. I miss my mom too who passed 2 years ago but I will see my parents again when I die. I miss these songs too bad the churches have lost some of the traditional hymns because of politics.

I like this performance of Victory in Jesus. This is from a Homecoming taping at the Billy Graham homesite in North Carolina. This is our annual Homecoming gathering in January. (January of 2002). The song Victory in Jesus was a co-write. Gary Atkinson was a friend of my father, and one of the first "Jesus people", a Hippie who came to salvation. He wrote the first verse and chorus. I wrote the second verse in Flemish and it was translated into English by my mother. Victory in Jesus was written in January of 1970.

There is victory in JESUS. And victory belongs to JESUS alone. None can nor will stand against HIM

Yes we do have victory in Jesus.

I want to cove a testimony to the sheer power,love, grace, & mercy of my Father thru trusting in Jesus. There is incredible victory interesting and believing in Jesus my savior! I’ve been a Christian for over 20 years and then that time I admit that I got proud and hottie, and I thought that my ways were better than God’s. It started subtly(!) with justifying my sinful behaviors and coming up w reasons that it was “ok” to disobey. At the time I didn’t see it as disobedience, but that is exactly what it was. Soon I got involved in sexual sin and satan had his hooks in me deep. However, that was still the beginning. Soon sin grew many tentacles in a variety of sins. I refused to listen to listen to God and what His love letter, The Bible, has clearly said. I was drowning in my many sins with no hope. I saw NO HOPE! No chance of redemption. I was in my bathroom crying out in shame and guilt & at that exact moment the wrath of God literally came upon me. He literally showed me my heart! He showed me ALL of my failures, sins, all my shame & guilt in a vision that lasted MAYBE 1.5 seconds yet covered all the sins and failures going back 20+ years! And I was AFRAID, fear gripped my heart fiercely and I felt completely separated from God! What a horrible and TERRIFYING time that was!! My hope was gone. Depression crept in because I was isolated and separated from God. I began crying out to God, begging for these things; REPENTANCE(!), His mercy & forgiveness, His grace, strength, and power to overcome the power and influence that satan had over me. Friend, if u are going thru what I went thru, please listen to this, there IS victory thru trusting and submitting to God, and that’s only thru trusting in The Savior Son of God, & His name is Yeshua! Jesus of Nazareth is His English name, but Yeshua is His birth name. I did that, and as a result of that decision I am walking victoriously!! The shame and guilt of my past are GONE! Th power and stronghold that satan had over me is broken because Yeshua nailed them to His cross when he gave His life! Yeshua is THE CHAIN BREAKER! The bondage breaker! Now, joy and peace fill my soul with hope and a love for God that I haven’t felt in years! I wish I could convey it clearer but I trust The Holy Spirit will make it clear to you. Read Psalm 51 and you’ll get what I’ve been thru. It’s a Psalm of being broken by sin and just how awesome (in every way) God is to the repentant heart.
