Victory in Japan Day - P-51, P-47, F6F, F8F

Flying Heritage Collection and Historic Flight Foundation showed off another great day of flying to cellebrate the Allied victory over Japan! Flying Heritage Collection flew their North American P-51D Mustang, Republic P-47D Thunderbolt, and Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat while neighbor Historic Flight Foundation flew their Grumman F8F Bearcat!

That beautiful sound of radial and V12's here long before I was born and hopefully still going after I'm history
If it's truly a Victory over Japan flight, it should only include a F4F Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, F4U Corsair, SBD Dauntless, and TBF Avenger. And possibly a P-38 Lightning.
Amazing flight and flybys. sounds like I hear some screaming supercharges or turbochargers. love it.
Love seeing these magnificent warbirds but a V-J Day tribute flight with out a Corsair!

Thanks! Next up is my favorite: Luftwaffe Day! They will be flying their Bf 109E -3 Fw 190 and Fieseler Storch.

ryan moeller - Yeah, they'll fly the Emil and the Focke-Wulf. The 190 is currently the only original that's flying and is powered by the only working BMW801. They ALSO have the only original Me-262, but I don't think she'll be ready for Luftwaffe Day this year.

Yeah, it's a pretty gnarly plane, for sure! It's at Flying Heritage Collection at Paine Field in Everett, Washington.
