The average Westerner is totally oblivious to the fact that the Soviet Union lost 70 people to every 1 person lost by the United States in WWII. WWII is something that has been etched on the psyche of every Russian Man, Woman and Child. Russian people have a certain paranoia that stems from this most destructive event to ever hit a civilization. It must be considered when engaging in all international relations and must certainly be the basis of understanding when the words "Don't Poke the Bear" are uttered.

We will say the Russians have an increased sense of tension when it comes to vital national security interests and prefer buffer zones. That is what naturally happens when 27 million people are lost. Certainly, the parade has nothing to do with security concerns but with honoring those who gave their all.

It must be fake as I got told by the BBC that Russia only had 1 tank and it got destroyed last year in the push for the largest washing machine chip factory in Europe, also they have no tank rounds left so they modified that one tank to fire MPL-50 rounds instead

Наш народ помнит подвиги легендарной эскадрильи " НОРМАНДИЯ НЕМАН" ! Воевавшей плечом к плечу с советскими лётчиками. Принимали участие в боях в небе над Кёнигсбергом в восточной Пруссии ( ныне Калининградская область РФ. Памятные знаки есть на улицах городов.
