you may laugh, but Moscow is not considered such a clean city in Russia. Now I live in Moscow and it does not seem to me such a clean city (I mean the central areas, despite the fact that, of course, it is relatively clean there) compared to St. Petersburg, where I lived, and it is even cleaner there. But the residents of St. Petersburg themselves do not view it as so clean, lol. I was in Minsk (the capital of Belarus) - I was amazed at how clean the streets there were compared to St. Petersburg, I would say sterile. Of course, in Russia there are also the opposite examples of regional cities, some of which are quite dirty. But having visited different cities, I definitely do not consider Moscow in the top of the cleanest Russian cities.

I came to Canada in the last 15 years. Greyhound bus service was very popular yet company went bankrupt. The Subway service in Toronto is 2 short lines. They are convenient but largly undeveloped. Most people fly between cities. Which is unafordable if you need to get somewhere withing a couple days (last minute tickets $1000 expensive). Our government has it backwards about logic on transporting people. Its actually cars and airplanes. Both no lt enviromently friendly yet except casino busses there is little to no public transport. City busses of course work but outside of major cities it's unreliable service. You could be waiting for bus for 30 minutes in Winnipeg at -40C weather. This is city service rural areas even worse or private cars only.
