Interesting knife. Marlin spikes and fids are underrated for people who just work a lot with ropes as opposed to just boating persons. Both are rare in multitools with pliers so this is an interesting alternative in that regard. I think some exist though sold by boating equipment sellers. Some plier multitools have a C4 spike, I've thought of grinding down one to a Marlin spike but that's a lot of work, even a four sided one. Here we just get a 2D version of one with a shackle key as well. I'd prefer a seatbelt style or gut hook style serrated blade though over a pointy one. Something that just occurred to me is could I replace some screws and bolts on my gear and equipment with shackle bolts and use this knife on them? If one doesn't need a file or a saw these boating models have some appeal, at least to me, someone wanting to carry a Marlin spike and not rely on a corkscrew although that works surprisingly well on smaller lines. I might be more intrgued by one without pliers which I'll have to look into...
