Victorian High Country Motorcycle Adventure - THE HARD WAY - Part 3

Two DRZ400E's and a WR250F take on one of Australia's iconic hill climb tracks called Billy Goat Bluff. Not all riders make it up.
A five day, 1250km Victorian High Country adventure ride onslaught. We chose the hardest tracks on offer and linked them all together to create 'The Hard Way' route whilst being fully loaded up. This ride was the hardest ride I have completed as an adventure ride to date.

29:55 Typically only glacial masses have the energy to move rock like this and Australia is south enough to have been glacial at least in the Pleistocene epoch. Such a rad landmark, thanks for sharing all the way up in Tampa Bay 💯🌴🤙🏼✌🏼

You guys are likely aware already, bicycle riders who ride zonks hard for hours use carbo gels BEFORE fatigue etc is likely. Hydration stops also key to new punters. Fab vid guys as always. Love your never ending commitment and humor in the face of adversity. True ADV riders.

it's the team of Josh and Josh..2 people, not just one beside himself. Great ride, but you still are losing people......Sally is doing great....yes after all that time, the suspension is do for at least a service....throw in a new set of progressive springs and if not doing drop ins or revalve, throw in a heavier oil and a tad more. In the heat you guys ride in, a heavier oil is a must. Thanks again for taking me along. Garth

Geeze 6 yrs and haven’t serviced the suspension, I just changed my fork oil after 1yr 98hrs and 7000 kms and it was thick shit compared to new oil, also got the rear oil changed at the same time as I added an xtrig preload adjuster so the shock needed to be degassed to fit it anyway

28k km with no service on the suspension and all the flogging you've given it in the simpson and the cape etc. it's just amazing it hasn't failed. springs, revalve and service and you won't know yourself it'll be like a whole new bike.

@@The_Apprentice_Adventurer would cost around $1k to have it professionally done if you take them the forks and shock. . a bit painful but worth every cent, good thing about the drz is the suspension doesn't need upgrade or replacement, just setting it up for the rider weight and use. that's a whole lot less painful than having to toss junk suspension and replace it or do extensive upgrades.

Lance, search up Jay Foreman, just north of you near Maitland. He's the DRZ Guru for suspension. Uses RG3 components. I know of a few personally, and many many more by reputation and socials that he's done. Used to run race teams running drz's. Champion bloke.

Oh. O, at this stage it seems like josh_jb’s footage is gone and he can’t add to the trip. Although there’s some freedom in not having to record the trip anymore and just have fun and enjoy the trip. I watched aus moto’s video wrong, I thought you guys parked up at the helipad at the base of Billy goat and he tried to ride up but then came back and by the time he reached the helipad you two had left. The benefit of watching multiple channels to build the same story. Nice work man epic trip
