Victorian High Country Motorcycle Adventure - THE HARD WAY - Part 1

A five day, 1250km Victorian High Country adventure ride onslaught. We chose the hardest tracks on offer and linked them all together to create 'The Hard Way' route whilst being fully loaded up. This ride was the hardest ride I have completed as an adventure ride.

Fair call to Josh remember he drove down from Brisbane picked you up Sydney and drove to VIC....he is a weapon to do that ride and kept up as long as he did....he deserves 👏 RESPECT 🙏

Mate he outdoes me in the sand, fire trails, overall speed on rocks and downhills. The only thing I can beat him at is hill climbs and river crossings. Hence why we make a great combo. Together we can get over any terrain I reckon. 🤙

I'm not hanging sh..t on your mate. I was just saying these bikes are too high make's it hard. When you can't touch the ground properly that's why I'm getting mine lowered. Those rocky tracks are hard work.

FWIW: An easy way to make an electrolyte solution to prevent cramps and help stay hydrated is a mixture of potassium, salt, and magnesium. There are videos on YT on how to make the homemade LMNT branded electrolyte powder. I like to add a packet of Propel electrolyte solution that I get from Walmart here in the states. There may be the same or similar product there. Pre-hydrating is super important for any physical endeavor. Not judging. Just adding some pearls I've learned over the years from my experience living in hot and dry Arizona. Josh deserve big kudos for not giving up and soldiering on. Great videos! Keep up the good work mate!

Bro that water in the high country is probably as clean as you'll ever find. I often go kayaking in rivers fed from streams like this and we drink water straight from the river. No need to boil but understand you want to be careful. Another great video bro

Whats everyones thoughts on turning the engine off and using the clutch in and out as needed for the steep decents. Choosing a low gear depending on control of speed. I either learnt this at rider training or saw it recomemnded somewhere. You can obviously still use brakes but can give better control and less chance of overheating the brakes.

I would agree that the 606 would have be the ideal rear for this trip. However after trying the Motoz it still got the job done for me but has plenty of tread left for more rides. Both have their advantages I guess. It’s definitely a tough one for that perfect all rounder.

@The_Apprentice_Adventurer I reckon that's what affected Josh and his confidence. When you're used to a certain level of grip and tyre performance it can be difficult to get accustomed to new tyres, especially running heavy for a 5 day camping trip
