(10 May 2017) VICTORIA'S SECRET ANGELS JOSEPHINE SKRIVER, STELLA MAXWELL SHARE LOVE OF PARIS, MOTHER'S DAY PLANS, BOMBSHELL SCENT RETURN
Though the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was nearly six months ago, Angels Josephine Skriver and Stella Maxwell can't get the city out of their head.
Skriver and Maxwell were at an event in New York Wednesday (10 MAY 2017) promoting the brand's new Bombshell colognes.
Skriver spoke of how the flavor of the city for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show impacts the experience.
"I think each city brings like a different vibe and a different personality to the stage. There's something exciting about spreading your wings in different locations of the world. There's something more cool and edgy about being in New York. There's something Hollywood glam about doing it in LA. There's more laid back sunny vibes in Miami. But there's something that just really felt right about being in Paris. It's like the mother of lingerie. It felt like the perfect match. It felt like, you know, two twins who were separated at birth that finally met each other. I felt like that was such a perfect city," Skriver said.
Skriver walked the runway at the first-ever Victoria's Secret show in Paris last year, and loved being in the city.
"It felt like - walking down the street in Paris, it just feels like out of the world. It's just like you're in a movie set. You're in this incredible city. Everything seems like - it's like you should be paying tickets, like you should be paying interest to go into Paris. It's such an incredible city. It's like walking around in a museum, and you can't help but just feel iconic or just feel amazing," Skriver said.
The entire Fragrance collection includes Bombshell, Bombshell Summer and Bombshell Paris. Maxwell shot an ad for the latter in Paris, and feels it sums up the city it's named after.
"I mean Paris is such a beautiful city. It's a really iconic beautiful just visually, and everything culturally. It's amazing. We shot our fragrance, Bombshell Paris, there in the Opera House, and I think it just embodies exactly what the scent is, which is a chic, elegant, strong sexy woman, so yeah, we just had a lot of fun in Paris doing that," Maxwell said.
Maxwell also has a soft spot for Paris.
"I mean the city is everything because the people - it all comes alive in that city, so um, I don't know, Paris is especially, you know, special because I just love that city. I love French people. I love the culture. I don't know, everything is so beautiful, it's such a beautiful city, it's like history," Maxwell said.
The Angels also spoke of their Mother's Day plans.
Maxwell was planning nothing big.
"I'll give my mom a Skype, and um, probably just chill," Maxwell said.
But she did have a special gift for her.
"I'm going to get my mom (Bombshell) Paris, because I did the commercial, and she asked me every day, can you send me one so I can like smell it, and see what this fragrance is because she wants to keep all the things I'm doing. And I think she'll just like it because she's European. I think it's a great fragrance for her," Maxwell said.
Skriver also plans to take care of her mom.
"I hopefully get to see my mom. I'm traveling the world, so we'll see. But I'm gonna spoil her by sending her flowers. I'm gonna send her the Bombshell fragrance. I want her to just feel special. She should feel special every day, but especially on Mother's Day," Skriver said.
