Victor Wooten Prosessions

Музыка

Introducing Korg ProSessions, a series of metronome-based instructional videos featuring world renowned artists like John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, John Scofield, Jordan Rudess, and many more. Each ProSession features metronome practice tips for all levels of playing including beginner, intermediate and advanced exercises demonstrated by the artists themselves.
This months video features Victor Wooten. Victor Wooten redefines the word musician. Regaled as the most influential bassist since Jaco Pastorius, Victor is known for his solo recordings and tours, and as a member of the Grammy-winning supergroup, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones. He is an innovator on the bass guitar, as well as a talented composer, arranger, producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.

SBL Academy is the MOST LIVE forum for bass instruction you will find on the internet. I was with Nathan East..he will respond to videos you send him. BUT: SBL has LIVE seminars almost every Monday from these bassists Steve Lawson(solo performance),Ian Stewart(afro-cuban tumbao and ghost notes), Rich Brown(playing in odd time signatures)Todd Johnson,Damian Erskine. Danny "Mo" Morris(Berkeley), Phill Mann(Jeff Berlins Players School of Music), Berhard Lackner, Ariane Capp, Rufus Philpot, Steve Jenkins, Ed Friedland, Divinity Roxx, Sean Hurley, and, Victor Wooten will soon be one of those. Scott does LIVE Facebook hours almost weekly also. There is also like N8 a weekly review by Scott of the student submitted videos for that week. Man, unless you are going to spend a fortune on airfare you will never get to all these guys in one place..

3:33. That's interesting. The LCD graphic shows a 'needle' sweeping back and forth the way mechanical metronomes do, but the beeps are at the ends, when the needle changes direction. On a mechanical metronome, it clicks as the needle sweeps across the middle. This always took a bit of getting used to, as the click was heard when the needle was moving fastest. Korg has made the visual and the audio make sense.
