    Wembanyama's flexibility is the most unexpected cheat code. No one thought a 7'4" guy would be doing splits in a basketball game covering 9ft of reach in one turn.

    Right. Two steps to a dunk from the 3-pt line? Insane. Yes, he's still a rookie and has a lot to learn, but he is a fast learner! Personally, I don't think I've ever seen anyone who inately understands and executes the game as well as Jokic (maybe Bird), and I think he is the best player in the game right now. I don't know if Victor will be able to match the Joker's IQ, but he can come close with some more experience and he can more than make up for any difference with his physical attributes and skill. Go Spurs Go!

    People saying Chet is better specially on defensive end without realizing players stop driving on the paint most of the time when Wemby is near the rim. Same reason why Wemby has lesser blocks than what they were expecting. It was his impact that is significant just like when Gobert is near the rim.

    In highlights, he looks unreal. Reality is that he's shooting 44.1fg% and 29.3% 3ptfg%. These are in line with how he did in Euroleague. His shot selection and scoring efficiency in the paint should improve over time. He could eventually become as automatic scoring in the paint as Jokic currently is; perhaps even better. His 3pt shooting doesn't look to have that much upside for improvement. Almost no one can realistically pressure his shot outside of 3 or 4 people, so the fact that he shoots under 30% on essentially minimally contested 3s is pretty bad. What makes him "hilariously unfair" is his defensive presence. Having a 9ft radius of being able to get to contest and/or block any shot attempt.

    @@xXXdaniel210xXx but is he breaking the NBA at this moment like the title suggests? I don’t think he is. He’s a good rookie and hopefully will continue to get better. Is he capable of doing things more consistently than any other person his size? Sure. However, he isn’t the best player in the NBA at this time. You can’t speculate how good he is going to be based on 9 games. Injures happen, falling short of your expectations happen and only time will tell.

  • @kevinsiu4956

    @kevinsiu4956

    @xXXdaniel210xXx Wembanyama isn't Kawhi. He's 9 inches taller and has an 8ft wingspan. Every aspect of their shooting mechanics are vastly different. Shorter players generally have fundamentally less moving parts and more compactness in their overall shooting motion. This translates to better stability and repeatability which generally translates to higher consistency. Being shorter also means you get a higher trajectory on your shots. In short, being longer and taller works against you the longer and taller you get when it comes to being an elite shooter. That's what makes KD so special.

    I'm glad all the doubters opened their eyes. I've been saying since he got hyped up in france that even if he gets injured he'll still break the nba because he's on another level. Like we legit will never see another guy as tall as him pulling 3s from deep like that ever after he retires. Wemby is literally an overpowered nba 2K player. And to add salt to the injury, ngl all of the spurs players are mid at best. Imagine if he had a real point guard, imagine if he had a sniper besides him ... Literally on his way to break like half of the nba records lol.

    Stop, stop, stop this! Wemby only scored 8pts, against OKC on Nov 14, 2023, while Chet scored 9pts.

    I think Chet is better. Chet’ seems to have better vision than Wemby who is just slightly more agile

    Wemby doesn’t have the luxury of having an elite offensive player running the show let alone multiple good players who can do everything like OKC has

    the only reason your are saying this is cuz chet is an american. If Vic was American and Chet French, you wouldn’t say that

    Remember this is technically Chet’s 2nd year. He’s gotten a year worth of NBA knowledge, coaching, and strength training. With all that Wemby still looks like a better player. Players are not coming into the paint because of him.

    STOP talking about the boy like he is the king already. Why you hype him more than necesary? He is amazing talent with great phisic but please guys. Give him time to shine and wait til he gets in top 5 for something. ( stats shows that right now the only think he is n top 5 is Blocks. He is great and very probably he will be the best one day but not today!
