A thin coat of Victaulic Lubricant or silicone lubricant is applied to the gasket lips, gasket interior, interior surface of both coupling housings, and to the bolt threads. Please refer to the 'Lubricant Requirements' in the I-W100, link below. www.victaulic.com/assets/uploads/literature/I-W100.pdf
