The Style 31 is not designed to transition between two different outside pipe diameters. Your strainer is clogged on the back of the actuator (silver hockey puck) there’s a yellow brass collar coming out of the back to 1/2” threaded nipple elbow to a union. Take apart the union pull the brass collar and clean the ring(slips off the top) make sure you can put your finger on the bottom of the brass and blow air through the top so it comes out of the side holes. Put back in and vwalla.

    How to prevent outlets from turning? they always go off level

  • @victaulic
    @victaulic6 ай бұрын

    Thanks for your comment! If you are referencing the bolt pads rotating during installation, this is caused by pressing down on the bolt with the impact tool. To avoid this, you need to prevent the impact tool from pressing down on the bolt pads while tightening the bolts. The bolts will bring the coupling housings together without pushing down on them. Please keep in mind that having the bolt pads off level will not impact the performance of the coupling in any way, provided it still meets our visual inspection criteria. Hope this helps!

    How much air pressure is good on a dry sprinkler system with a 4” main? 9:43pm

    To what category earthquake does that simulation create?

  • @victaulic
    @victaulic Жыл бұрын

    Thank you for asking. The forces experienced by buildings during a seismic event are more closely related to ground motion than the overall magnitude of the seismic event, so the measurement of peak ground acceleration (PGA) is generally used for seismic simulations. A single seismic event, measured with one magnitude for the overall event, will have many PGA measurements depending on relative location and the local ground conditions. This test had acceleration inputs of 1.3 g, meaning 1.3 times the standard acceleration due to Earth’s gravity. Typical accelerations during seismic events are between 0.05 g and 1 g.

    afternoon sir, i have something to ask you what the function giving lubricant to gasket sealing ?

  • @victaulic
    @victaulic Жыл бұрын

    Hi Muhammad, Thanks for reaching out. The lubricant is for installation purposes, not for sealing purposes. The lubricant helps the gasket/coupling fit into place and helps to avoid pinching of the gasket during installation. The compressive force created by the two coupling housings during installation seals the joint.
