so etherial. i too want to ascend to enlightenment while installing a dry alarm valve one day
How about for 900mm pipes.
BS if the pipe can move like that with all strapping, it ain’t strapped
Me podrán dar una orientación
Vic when are you coming out with a new dry valve? the NXT with this LPA sucks !
Good morning I have a question, Are welded pipes DN100 (114.3x3.2mm) suitable for grooving or are only seamless pipes suitable?
im asking about stainless steel 316
Thanks for your comment, the answer to your question is yes! Please reference submittal 17.01 for more information. If you have more questions reach out through our live chat or ask a question feature on our website.
excelentes vídeos, claros e ilustrativos
This is call poor engineering, welding and groove joint at same pipe.
¡Gracias!
This vid came in perfect at 3 in the morning on a service call
You can adjust depth of grooving tool without disconnecting from power source but to use gauge you need to do it?
Hi, I have question Can we use this one to connect 2 pipe that has the same inner diameter but different outer diameter ? In my case, inner diameter DN150, but outer diameter is D160 and D166
Thanks for reaching out, The Style 31 is designed to join AWWA sized pipes that match in outside diameters. The Style 31 is not designed to transition between two different outside pipe diameters. Please use the link below to see our product submittal for more information. www.victaulic.com/products/style-31-awwa-coupling/
most dog shit dry system. thing ain’t worth a fuck
Priming line won't charge with water...any ideas?
Control valve probably mounted upside down. The charge line should be before the shut off so it can be drained of water but charge
@@salp5387 I was able to figure out that the air side solenoid was bad so the water was passing straight through an draining out...thanks for the help anyway
Your strainer is clogged on the back of the actuator (silver hockey puck) there’s a yellow brass collar coming out of the back to 1/2” threaded nipple elbow to a union. Take apart the union pull the brass collar and clean the ring(slips off the top) make sure you can put your finger on the bottom of the brass and blow air through the top so it comes out of the side holes. Put back in and vwalla.
How to prevent outlets from turning? they always go off level
Thanks for your comment! If you are referencing the bolt pads rotating during installation, this is caused by pressing down on the bolt with the impact tool. To avoid this, you need to prevent the impact tool from pressing down on the bolt pads while tightening the bolts. The bolts will bring the coupling housings together without pushing down on them. Please keep in mind that having the bolt pads off level will not impact the performance of the coupling in any way, provided it still meets our visual inspection criteria. Hope this helps!
How to engineer heartbreak, disappointment and confusion for employees for decades.
Took way to long to answer question
Never dope sprinkler heads
I’m about to groove 20 1” peace’s wish me luck good machine would love to test some the newer attachments I’m a fabrication manager at a fire sprinkler shop
That man had so much confidence
Thank you, I have these all over my apartment and wondered what they were!
Kindly sent complete address / loc if saan pwede magpa grouve ng pipe pls
How about you all pursue a fire protection listing for your quickvic line? I’d love to use those po7 / po8 couplings instead of threaded unions for a 1” pipe replacements.
Customer feedback is what drives innovation at Victaulic, we appreciate your comment! While this is not part of our current offering, we would refer you to our IGS™ product line for your 1” Fire Protection needs → www.victaulic.com/products/firelock-igs-groove-system-fittings/ We’d be happy to connect you with a local salesperson if you have any questions!
Nice work. Quite an eye-opener. Shows how futile those hanger pipe supports are in seismic.
How much air pressure is good on a dry sprinkler system with a 4” main? 9:43pm
Thanks for your comment! The standard air pressure for a Victaulic Series 768N dry valve is 13 to 18 psi. Please refer to Victaulic submittal 31.80 and NFPA 13 to determine gallonage requirements and delivery times for your system size and application.

how this sprinker will work, he is obstructed with a melting cap! water spray wil be obstructed with white melting cap.
Cap falls off literally in the video genius
Great Functionality
To what category earthquake does that simulation create?
Thank you for asking. The forces experienced by buildings during a seismic event are more closely related to ground motion than the overall magnitude of the seismic event, so the measurement of peak ground acceleration (PGA) is generally used for seismic simulations. A single seismic event, measured with one magnitude for the overall event, will have many PGA measurements depending on relative location and the local ground conditions. This test had acceleration inputs of 1.3 g, meaning 1.3 times the standard acceleration due to Earth’s gravity. Typical accelerations during seismic events are between 0.05 g and 1 g.
you guys make good stuff. I work for a supplier of your stuff in Canada. would love to work for Victauluc

If there is a leak coming from the coupling, would it be because there is a tear in the gasket, or if it slid out of position?
We would like to gain more information to best answer your question. Please visit the link below to get in contact with Applications Engineering. www.victaulic.com/technical-questions/
This design is dumb becuz the gasket oxidise over the time and it leaks...
Can you buy the gasket separately-for a 24" coupling?

Excelente producto 👍
This is a very good solution. NOw we need this for drinking water on HDPE and PEX pipe .
Hi, we've got those too, feel free to reach out to you local Victaulic distributor HDPE in 905-907 range, ST100 for potable water, etc.
Thank you bro
afternoon sir, i have something to ask you what the function giving lubricant to gasket sealing ?
Hi Muhammad, Thanks for reaching out. The lubricant is for installation purposes, not for sealing purposes. The lubricant helps the gasket/coupling fit into place and helps to avoid pinching of the gasket during installation. The compressive force created by the two coupling housings during installation seals the joint.

In perfect conditions with both pipes being held in place. Perfect example of how intellectually lazy design engineers are. These are the worst fittings ever developed.
I love you guys
I used to pride myself in being a great pipefitter. Fitting everything from 3/4” screw pipe to 96” sch. 160 pipe. From carbon steel to NASA graded exotic metals. But I never touched Victaulic pipe… the first time I did it humbled me 😂😂
NASA is less relevant than Hollywood
Thats a massive system
Loved this vid guys! It helped me out a lot! Keep up great vids like this one! 💪
Thanks for reaching out, there are no hydraulics or heavy, cumbersome tools involved with this cut groove. You can check out this animation to see how it works → kzread.info/dash/bejne/fp12zsyxhtiaY7Q.html
Desmond Davis from Wilmington NC. I work for this company building this product. I install the reducer, I install the nips. I also have built the sprinkler heads. Put in the build, the spring, the cable and all. It’s a very great product.

¿Que rango de diametros se pueden ranurar con RG3600?
Thanks for reaching out, 2 - 12".
How do you groove copper pipe ?
Hi Dominic, The RG1200 is designed to groove only carbon steel pipe. Our two most common copper grooving tools are the VE26 and VE226 roll grooving tools. Here’s some more info on each: VE26 Roll Grooving tool: www.victaulic.com/products/style-ve26-vic-easy-field-roll-grooving-tool/ VE226 Roll Grooving Tool: www.victaulic.com/products/style-ve226-vic-easy-field-roll-grooving-tool/
