After I see that jelly roll is nominated for two Grammy awards I immediately thought about the first time I ever heard of him. It was on this old episode of Noisy on Viceland tv channel. I could see star potential in him then and I’m happy see he has made it to this level. I wish him much success in the future!!

Music is universal. Jelly Roll has grown and is out of the streets his raps are heavily influenced by the behavior of the streets. Him and Lil Wyte are a deadly duo together. As you change your choices change if you're trying to do better.

What the hell was that comment about people who listen to Jellyroll? "Poor white people in the South??? Listen I might not be rich but I'm not poor and you say people in the South or rather men in the South like southern people are a lower form or something. Most of us people in the South work our asses off to have and maintain what we've got. No just for shits and giggles let's use that statement and re - phrase it to say that another musical artist is followed mostly by black men or even african americans in the north. Sounds just a smidgen racist don't you think?? So what? It's okay to say rasist things against white people?

I gotta say, well done Mikel Knight and Jelly Roll. Recovering from addiction and/or getting on the straight and narrow is not an easy task, in fact it's fucking hard! Both these men left crime behind and started over, forging a new life with their second chance, helping and supporting others in similar situations - Jelly Roll with his best mate Struggle and Mikel with the men he employs. And let's be honest, once you've got a criminal record finding a job is hard, but Mikel is giving other guys like him their second chance, and earning $100,000 is awesome! Sure, there's room for improvement, especially if two guys died because they were exhausted from the work, maybe some pressure needs to be eased up, but at least he's trying to help make a difference. It was infuriating hearing Kyle "Trigger" Coroneos be so cynical about Mikel's program, claiming it's like a pyramid scheme, when in my eyes he's helping guys get clean, stay clean, earn a wage and get back on there feet. Based on the few articles I've read of his on his site he seems filled with judgement and cynicism, almost as if he's jealous that he's not making waves and instead just blogging about others. I dunno...but I do know I take my hate off to both Mikel and Jelly Roll and wish them the best of luck for the future.

I laughed so hard when that Jelly Roll guy said he learned to braid hair in jail, lol. And seeing his segment of the video really shows a different dimension to White Americans. Like, you don't see them as poor, uncultivated, uneducated Trump voters. You just see them as people, and I liked that. I also liked how it revealed that they're facing very similar realities to low-income Black Americans in disenfranchised communities, and that these commonalities don't have to have anything to do with race.
