    The only person I like is Montgomery, he should be the main character. The rest are just a confederacy of dunces to me. Herrera: practically cries "poor me poor me" all the time and loves to shit where she eats. Gibson: a whole volume on relationship problems Hughes: complainer Warren: ok hes a stand up guy, like him too Miller: needs ALOT of backbone Bishop: HUGE control freak and never shut up about her Olympic medals, like those are relevant to firefighting Sullivan: was likeable because he called out all their shot at first, then 👎

    @Glory Vaudan Because the show stopped being so "Andy-centric" which was killing it. She is just an unlikable character in general, from her attitude to actions personally and professionally. She really has not done anything this whole season, its all been mostly about her crew and their lives, which I like more. Sullivan, yes he's not perfect, but the writers didn't do his character any justice with 180 attitude and out of nowhere injury/addiction. They didn't even chalk it up to the ambulance crash, which would've made sense. Also yes i also hated when he betrayed Warren and destroyed the PRT. Yes glad you agree about Gibson, but what I like about Gibson is that his actions and everything are exactly what would normally happen in real life (make mistake, sulk, make more mistakes, hit bottom and climb slowly up again) the others don't seem to do that, their problems have the 'solved by next episode' effect. Yes what Montgomery asked of Hughes was rough, but i don't blame his reaction. That kind of pain is something that's never going leave, losing a spouse like that. It really shows a side of him that we don't see, because i always see him as a voice of reason and level headedness.

  • @mattieblackeyes957

    @mattieblackeyes957

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think that's why they ended the scene with a "zoom out", because the list goes on, and they probably want the families and friends of the people whose names we don't hear to know that they are included, they are not forgotten, but it's next to impossible naming every person who has fallen victim to police's biased brutality. In an earlier episode, Vic was really upset because she felt the community was hostile to her and other non white firefighters, when they all put their lives on the line for that community day after day. And in this episode she was furious because Breonna Taylor was in her bed, sleeping, when she was shot by police, meaning being home doesn't warrant being safe when you're not white. So this scene is so important, and it rings so true. Racist white people only care about the destruction of property when it's not them doing the destroying, and this is a reminder that you can't equate human life with any one object, things can be rebuilt or replaced but people can't rise from the dead. Anyway, sorry for the long paragraph, I of course agree with your comment: when does it stop?!

    This is the most powerful money on television. People of colour are fucking amazing. I couldn’t even imagine what they go through on a daily basis. I will forever stand with them against this horrible nightmare of a world we live in. I have white privilege so I will use that so I can walk by a police officer and not dead for my life. I can walk in a public place and not be stared at. I can be with a group of friends without it being called a gang. Which is why I will forever stand in front of a person of colour when they are being questioned, shouted at chased by a police officer because they won’t do anything to me. I will forever tell the police officer whatever happened was my fault because I will get a slap on the wrist and I won’t have to fraid for my life. To all the black people out there your doing amazing. BLM ✊🏿

    Okay, first off, this is a “said no small business owner ever”, because I watched my city burn, and the rocks and bricks thrown through windows, and these were minority owned businesses. But second of all, Vic’s parents were still inside the restaurant. How does putting more lives at risk (the lives of the firefighters, law enforcement, civilians, etc) possibly justify the loss of the other lives? Even Breonna Taylor’s own MOTHER condemned the riots. You don’t take your frustrations out on innocent civilians!

    Because the violence accounted for between 1 and 3% of the protests. 97-99% were peaceful. Some of the violence was caused by people infiltrating the protests specifically to cause violence to make BLM look bad. condemning violence seems pretty on brand for BLM when you think about it....it’s kinda why they exist.

    Vic's parents deliver a poignant interview, revealing the heart-wrenching impact of their restaurant being burned in the riots. Their words cut through the noise, urging society to question priorities: "If we value property over human lives, we need to reevaluate how we navigate the world." #Station19 mirrors this sentiment, weaving narratives that go beyond firefighting, delving into the profound human experiences behind the characters. It sheds light on lives lost, seeks justice, and prompts viewers to confront societal issues. Canceling #Station19 would mean losing a platform that addresses these crucial conversations. Let's amplify these voices, celebrate the show's depth, and ensure it continues to be a beacon of empathy and understanding. @abcnetwork, don't let this essential dialogue fade away. #savestation19

    Why is it ok to destroy a person's livelihood, with arson and looting? Why is that level of aggression necessary, rather than actual peaceful protests of social injustices? I agree that there have been many things swept under the media rug, and it's wrong... but why can we not assemble, and fix a broken system without self destruction? This only breeds further hate and decay of our country.
