A detailed look at how I have rigged up a Vibe Sea Ghost 130 for kayak fishing. This is a great fishing kayak for inshore ocean kayak fishing, and fishing on larger inland waters. I take a close look at the set up on this kayak and how I have modified it for fishing.
I have installed a Lowrance Hook2 4x GPS fish finder with BerleyPro Visor, and this is mounted on the Versa-Console Slide Tracks using a Railblaza MiniPort TracMount with Hook2 Mount. The fish finder is powered using a Nocqua Lithium Power Pro Kit. Wiring is passed into the hull using a Hobie 3-Way Thru Hull Fitting Kit. The transducer is fitted to the transducer recess moulded into the underside of the Sea Ghost 130.
Railblaza Rod Holder II's are fitted to the slide tracks using TracLoader StarPorts. A Railblaza Safety Flag is also track mounted at the back of the kayak. Plano 3600 Waterproof Stowaway Tackle Boxes are fitted either side of the seat. A full-length anchor trolley system is fitted with a zig zag cleat, for use with a Quick-Release Anchoring System.
A Railblaza C-Tug Sandtrakz trolley will be used to move the kayak to and from the water, and this is shown stored in the front hatch.
