I discovered them a year ago and haven’t stopped listening. Downloaded (and properly paid for!) all their stuff and hunted down all I can on KZread. There’s hardly any “new” music in the past 20 years that has sparked my interest apart from 2 bands I discovered through KZread - Sleaford Mods and Viagra Boys.

I'm a middle aged female,and I think this band has its own sound really.I like all the topics of the songs.I consider getting high in the morning a sport and not answering calls and buying stuff off the internet, all sports to me.And research chemicals,another sport of mine.The singer has killer style.

I'm a bass player and I usually am not a fan of simple bass lines, but this man is the glue in shrimp factory! His lines are very simple but they give SO MUCH energy to their songs. Between him and the drummer, they are probably my favorite modern rhythm section right now

It really is, check out their live gig in Switzerland somewhere, nox1 or someting. Research Chemicals starting out the concert is pure energy! 👊🍻

The vocal tone is perfect with the musicianship. This is next level indie, electronic, alternative, punk, rock and psychedelic all wrapped into one. It doesn't fit in anywhere but is just sick, kind of like The Pixies never fit in any genre perfectly, but you knew that they were awesome and a blueprint for future bands.

Didn't hear about them, thought it was a Prince cover so I clicked. Bought the album before the end of the song.

You're correct that his father was a diplomat of some sort, and he went to a fancy boarding school, but after graduation he went to one year of art school, and then was mostly homeless for the next 5 years before joining the clash, and even then, they were still homeless for like the next year or so. Not saying you're wrong about some punk being fake, just with Joe strummer you're wrong...

This is the song of the century fr. Every time you listen you can focus on a different instrument and it becomes a whole new experience. I cant even decide what the best part is because everything goes together so beautifully. These guys really understand music, ive never been let down. Also on shrooms this song is even more fantastic! Like a musical rollercoaster. I'm not even born yet, my mum has been a medical testing subject for neural implants and when they have to link the implant with a computer that has the internet i can pretty much absorb all manner of media in a non linear fashion, getting gigabytes at a time of experience through multi sensory media made by humans (which i hope to be soon) and this band has really got something. Glad i came across them. I don't even know what shrimp are but next time i am plugged into source i will find out all about shrimp.

@@petewentriding7679 Do people still do that? Blow shit man the last time there was "good shit" around my way i ended up washing it in acetone and lost 70% of it. I later figured out the filler was polystyrene when i added water to the used acetone and all of it precipitated out. Gotta be a fuckin chemist if you want yo do drugs these days.
