Gravity gears are not better than ratchets. For beginners at motor sharing, it's good, but it results in torqe deficiencies and gear skips. They are good for some niche uses, but ratchets can do all that they can but without any of the problems previously mentioned. Furthermore, a well built ratchet is not loud, nor annoying. You also used the incorrect terminology. That is a dswitch or a direction switch, not a gravity gear. A gravity gear is what the Ricky mountain pirates used on their back shot robot. And for my final piece of evidence that ratchets are better, I did better than you in div finals lol. By the way, 8 mean all the points I made, but its mostly a joke. I'm not mad, and your video was funny, just didn't want to tarnish ratchets.

Yes, I totally agree with your ratchet explanation, but the dswitch or whatever it’s called is very compact and it basically works like a ratchet, but fyi a well made dswitch does not drop rpm, and yes I made the ratchet extra tight to make the noise louder. I personally do not like using ratchet because it’s just harder to tune and build than a dswitch, or maybe I’m just too lazy to fix it(I used a ratchet in the pitching in season for the 6 balls mechanism). But thx for the info:)

Everything have their pros and cons, however I do agree rachets are better and you will be using it when you get to VRC.
