    From what I can tell, this is the same unit that Harbor Freight carries (different color) for anyone in a bind and can't wait for shipping. Worked great for me. Just take your time, watch some videos, and read the instructions until your sure you understand how to operate it. Great video!

    Here's a tip because this happened to me the first one that came from the Amazon came damaged and it was unusual we had to send it back we ordered another one which was the fever first one was from another company I could hear the UPS guy rolling that thing to my front door it literally sounded like he was flipping the box to get it to my front door if you see the guy pull up try to offer him a hand because those things those guys just manhandle that stuff and I know it's a it's a well-known fact that delivery drivers do not handle packages very well but like this was this was incredible this was like I couldn't believe it I could not believe that I mean it clearly is marked on the package which way is up and what's in it it's also very heavy and when you roll it you can actually hear the parts moving around in there you know I mean could you not break my machine that I just bought for $500

    Thanks Mike! Appreciate that 😀 Yes, when I tighten the fittings they are a little loose. Mine arrived a few days ago, just as you described. Good quality for homeowner use, the only quibble I had was the size of the 2 bolts that hold the tool box on....2.5 mm diameter, the heads might be 3mm....right away I could see these pulling right through the holes in the bottom.I found a couple of 6-32 bolts 1-1/2 " long that fit but 8-32 would work if you drilled the holes out. No more $500 plumbers bills!

    I just bought the 100 ft. version.Yes, it probably works well in 2 and 3" drains, but it's next to worthless in a 4" drain. Those drains usually get clogged by roots more than anything else. If you use yours in 4" drains for maintenance, you're the rare person, because most people don't maintain their drains. Who has time for that? Perhaps a regular rooting once or twice a year might snip off roots before they get too big, but as I said, I bet most people aren't disciplined enough to do that. They wait until they get a clog, then want a machine to clear it. This one won't do it in a 4" line, unless it's unusually soft. Also, I think the 100 ft length is bad idea. Just adds unnecessary weight while that length is usually not needed. 75 ft. is plenty long. I plumber who specializes in drain cleaning told me you need a 3/4" cable to clear out a 4" main line, and he was right. You're deceiving yourself if you think this machine will clear a 4" line, unless you're lucky

  • @RCInsiders

    @RCInsiders

    2 ай бұрын

    Hi David, I don't see why you would need a lot of discipline to run a snake through a drain a couple times a year? I used to wait for a clog as well & just got sick of the $400 bill that accompanied the mess of the backed up drain. Yes, as I clearly stated & wrote text over the video, if you have bad roots, you will need a 3/4" or bigger cable. Also, if your main is 80', 75' won't do you much good 😀 A property I do maintenance for has cleanouts every 80' on a 400' line. The extra 25' comes in handy & really adds minimal weight. I love this unit as I can do maintenance on my main & clean all other lines too. I don't have thousands for rigid, so this will do just fine. After using it a time or 2 it already paid for itself :) Have you had other snakes? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day 👍 @RCInsiders

What are the warrantees that come with this product? Are there any retail dealers in the US or a place I can bring it to get serviced, if ever it malfunctions. What is the specific model number?? Also you just picked it up and it’s brand new. I understand it works good now but what’s gonna happen after the fifth or 10th time that I use it? will it uphold like a rigid or any other top brand? Then again it’s only $500 so it’s a risk I might take. Anyways, your review was good and well explained.cheers!

    Hey Tony, I don't think there are any brick & mortar stores that sell Vevor tools. The warranty I believe is 12 months and 30 days no questions asked returns. As far as service, you could bring it anywhere you would bring any other drain snake. My reasons for going with this unit are that I have several other Vevor tools that are doing well after many uses. I have their airbag jack, bottle jack & shop press. And of course the price. The snake in this video is $399 vs the same rigid & same features is $1,100. I have already used it several times and its doing fine. Realistically, it's almost paid for it's self already. Plumber charges 150-200 or with time gas money and aggravation, it's 100-125 to rent one. I feel good about the machine & the decision to get one 😀💯 Would I try to start a professional plumbing company with it? Probably not. But starting with the next time I use it, the money I save will be considered profit for me :) Have you owned/rented a drain cleaning machine before? Unless you are really mechanically inclined or had someone train you on a sewer snake these things will fck you up. Like if your this guy using a 4" sewer snake on a 6" line it can hit a bump flip itself over and tie itself in a ball blocking your sewer pipe and you will have to dig up your sewer pipe to retrieve it. Not to mention sewer snakes will twist that cable and snap your fingers if your trying to push it past a root tangle when you get it stuck witch you will because sometimes you cant cut through the roots if the whole pipe is loaded with them.

I very specifically mentioned & even wrote text over the video to say that if you have roots, you will need a 5/8", 7/8" or - 1" cable! My Goodness, there is nothing wrong with maintenance cleaning of this line with this unit. It is perfect for me as I can maintain a main & clean every other line in & around the house. Accidents & twists can happen with/in any line with any machine. This is also why I was very specific about running your own actuator yourself & said at any sign let off. YOU are in total control. Accidents can happen with literally any tool you decide to use. For that matter it can happen every time you decide to get up & do anything. If you are intimidated or uncomfortable with anything, you should learn how to do it safely by watching videos such as this one & then practice. Training, as you mentioned, is also a good idea if you are still intimidated with anything. Do you own a snake? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day :) @RCInsiders

    Yes i do own a rigid and was looking to buy another witch is why i was watching the video. I also have a small excavating company and have probably dug up over 20 broken off snakes that where stuck inside sewers, and ive also had snakes snap back on themselves crushing fingers. Cameras jets and snakes all frequently get stuck inside sewers by professionals much less a guy using one for the first time without a sewer camera to see what your drilling into. No joke these are dangerous and you could easily hurt yourself or mess up your sewer line. Like i said do what you want i dont care but i wouldn't recommend anybody who hasn't been trained doing it yourself. And yes i watched a video of you putting the wrong size snake in a 6" line and then i said why you dont do that and how it could go wrong from 26 years of experience im glad it worked out well. @@RCInsiders

    @@papaguche Fair enough & this is my point. My guess would be that most of the snakes you dug up were operated by "professionals". A snake is dangerous, as is any tool you pick up. This shouldn't dissuade people from learning to do things for themselves. Are you thinking about getting one of these? For the money, it's been awesome. Has definitely paid for itself 2x over already.

    Hey Germ, Yes, as I clearly stated in the video, if you have roots you will need a 3/4 cable or bigger. For the routine maintenance that I do on this line it works great. Plus for all the smaller lines around a house it is perfect. Are you getting one? It's been a good machine so far. Thanks for dropping by & have a great day :) @RCInsiders

    I don't know about the machine but the cable on this machine is really bad quality I bought the 3/8x 75 cable for 90 $ for my general pipe machine tried to save some money and when I received the cable I noticed the diameter was smaller than the one on my machine so when put it in my machine and tried to use the cable was too weak and tangled inside my machine drum it was the worst nightmare to get the cable out so I gave it another tried and still tangled inside , so it was useless for me so I had to put it in the trash

    Hi Mike, Thanks for your concern, but the cable does perfectly fine in this line. As I stated, if the line was full of roots or heavy blockage, I would suggest a bigger cable. I also said that I do this line a couple times a year & the blockage is minimal. I have done this line twice & several others now & it works just fine. Do you have one of these machines?
