Such a satisfying suction pop sound when you remove the driver from the ratchet. (8:23)

Yup. That’s my missing piece. I wanted something that ratchets but I wanted a stubby but I also don’t need a stubby often. This is a 2 in one to compliment the rest of my kit.

You should check out Anex No.397 Quick Ball 72. It seems to be Vessel made, same ball design but different ratchet/bit design. Says Made in Japan on it. Has a 72 tooth ratchet. The center position its super solid, less play than a PB Swiss ratchet. Literally hard to tell its a ratchet when locked. It comes with a long double ended bit but you can jam E6.3 bits in it, eg Wera 89mm or 152mm ones. Or jam in a bit holder to hold 1" bits. You cannot insert 1" bits directly. IMO this thing is like amazing all around. Also find it really easy to toggle the ratchet, more so than basically any other ratchet screwdriver I have. (edit) Actually rotating it seems to lock better than PBSwiss but there is still some play in other directions. Downside is bit the plastic parts make it seem cheap, some other material woudla been better.

Holy shit, they made it. As soon as I got the fixed Phillips one, I hoped they had a bit driver version. And now they do. Amazon does not ship this to Australia yet, so I will have to wait for this to become more available. Thanks for the video. So happy it showed in my feed. :D

Nice, review. I'm tempted to get one. I operate my Vessel 220USB-P1 in a similar manner i.e. I twist to loosen and utilize the motor to thread the rest of the way. Great for small machine screws and soft wood (think IKEA furniture).

Hey my friend, great review! Very interesting to see that there is a version sent by Vessel USA instead of Vessel China and as written on the box, came with their made in Japan bit. Thanks for your test with other bit holder compatibility to use on drills, this opens a great option to use their bit holder 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great Review like you always do and Thanks for mentioning ☺️🤝

I have one, ordered from aliexpress with C6 style bit. I interested in buying it because of the magnetic bit holder that can use whatever bits you're put in. The other 2200 is a meh. Ergonomically one of the best I've ever used, that one hand operation is awesome though I feel the Anex 397 is a bit better. One thing I dislike is the stubby mode, the retention ring make it so hard to pull out the bit by hand. Often I need pliers to do it. Thanks for the video bzeug.

Good video review. Nice to see Vessel has expanded the 2200 blade offerings. I'll have to wait for the 2200MBH blade to be sold separately and in perhaps shorter lengths. Looks like it works nicer than the rather disappointing Anex AEH bit holder I have. I emailed Vessel to suggest +1 blades for the 2200 a while back and they said thanks but no thanks. Maybe they'll start thinking about it now?

Love the 2200, only complaint every once in awhile when I’m cranking down the fastener switches directions and locks up the ratcheting mechanism.

I've got it on the way! :D I subscribed as a thank you for bringing this to my attention. I hoped they'd make a bit driver. Got it through Amazon AU. I am not familiar with the E6, C6, double anvil etc kinds of bits. A video on the matter would help clear things out. Just a suggestion. Thanks again.

Very nice screwdrivers. I like the one handed use of this. Recently I bought the Vessel td-6816 with bit storage in the handle, 8 bits. It comes with 16 bits în two inserts for the handle. The only thing I don't like about it is, despite having a decent magnet, it cannot hold even a little tiny screw. I don't know why this is happening and in some cases the magnetic field is so weak at the tip of the bit. I have another magnetic extension, branded projahn with a very powerful magnet, but I can lift a 200 gram wrench from the table. What about the ones presented in this video?

Nice, maybe they start selling the bitholder blade on its own, for those that already have the ratcheting screwdriver set. Can it be used with the Wiha 30mm double sided bits?

Yeah I think most of the ball grips are now made in Thailand with the exception of the Strike through cap ones which are still Japan made. I like the Thailand product, quality is very good but the Japan made ones are a small fraction nicer. But you have to look very closely.

I have the light ball grip and the heavy duty one (changeable blades, the grey one). I LOVE THEM. bought the ratcheting ballgrip hex holder. I am SO DISAPOINTED. eveytime I turn the head with my hands to apply torque (which is why I love the vessel ball grips to start with) I turn the ratchet yellow selector witch either cancels the ratcheting effect or reverses it. I think this is a poor design. Don't get me wrong, I adore vessel bits, they make really good stuff, and I love the ball grip design, but it's a miss on my part for the ratcheting version!

I still prefer the Snap On stubby ratcheting screwdriver, primarily because of the interchangeable shanks. You can change between them in a moment or even swap in the one with a 1/4" square drive to use it as a socket driver. The ratchet is good quality with low-ish backdrag and the rotating direction switch is chunky and falls directly under your fingers. I know Snap On are over priced but their ratcheting screwdriver is right up there for me.

Hey I have a question. Trying to figure out if mine is defective or if it's normal. When you turn the stubby slowly does it let go at some point? Like turns quicker, and then tightens up? Backdrag is not consistent.

I've been searching for a ratcheting screwdriver for a while, a single tool that I could use from assembling computers, to tightening/untightening stuff around the house... I think I found it. I wonder if these can be bought from within the EU. Can anyone help with a link? I'm gonna' ask google, that's for sure, but if any one can point a supplier within the EU, that would be awesome!
