Very simple way to make auger

Ғылым және технология

With the help of my device , you can very easily make the auger of washers , you need steel pipe diameter as the washer and cut it as I showed in the video , the spiral is perfect ,bending by hand it is impossible to make that spiral, with the help of hammer you should only hit the top of the device and remove the perfect spiral for auger , then weld together , this system is possible to make larger auger only you need bigger pipes , thank you for watching .

Hi Mladen.... I made an auger a ýear ago as a post starter. I followed your design and the pipe stamp exact. The washers I could only obtain here are thin 1.2mm. Ridiculous. On using for first time it worked great. Then I must of hit a stone that bent the front lead tooth of the washer. That made it useless. So I left it. One year + later I dug it out and welded a 3mm mild steel lead to the bent front of the washer. I tried it and I'm so happy that it has worked as a pre hole guide to wooden pegs I've driven into the hard clay soil. Saving me tons of time and effort. I just had to come back to your channel to thank you. *THANK YOU* 👍👍👍👍👍

if anyone is interested in a variable compression auger, try doing it on a lathe. if you want a 10mm diameter auger, with 5 lifts on a taper shaft, just chuck up a piece of 10mm round stock, with a slot milled down to the center of the rod. Drill the first hole to the smallest diameter of the auger shaft. part off the first "washer" and continue to the next size hole. You'll have a neat compressive auger for your next project. The shape of the lifts could be shaped as indicated by the device in this video. Clever way of shaping these discs! Thanks for sharing this.

Brilliant video! I've seen large (1m and bigger) industrial auger blades formed, and other than $600,000 in equipment, this is, more-or-less, how they are hydraulically formed and assembled. I was thinking about making pellet-stove feed augers, and this will work perfectly.
