Very Easy Desk Calendar Stand (Only One Tool Needed!)

Want to download my 2020 Desk Calendar featuring some of my favorite macro photography images? You can find that here...

CORRECTION:
In the video, I say that for the small piece, I set the fence for the second cut to 1 1/8 inch. That's incorrect. The correct settings for the cuts are as follows:
For the small piece -- 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch
For the large piece -- 1 inch and 1 1/8 inches
I wanted a clean, simple stand for my desk calendar, and after looking at many ready-made stands and desktop easels, I decided to make one myself.
This desktop stand is so simple to make, and required just one tool -- a table saw. If you're new to using a table saw, this is the perfect project for you! With just a few cuts, you'll have a completed item, and more confidence to take on bigger projects. Give it a try!

I really like this. I wanted to make my daughter a desk top photo calendar, but the kits are all ordered customized. I wanted to make/print my own. I think I would put binding rings on it so she can just flip them over to the next month. I hope that wouldn't bee too bulky for it.

Thank you for a simple table saw project video. I am terrified of table saws (I know two people who have lost fingers!), so this video helped calm my nerves about using this tool! It is a tool that I do not have. But, I would probably use one a lot if I got over my fear of it. Thanks!

It's good to have a healthy fear of table saws. :) They're one of the most dangerous tools you can use, and getting too comfortable around them can lead to carelessness and accidents. BUT, if you're careful, aware of where your hands are at all times in relation to the blade, and take your time, then you'll have no problems. :) Also, cutting MDF is so much easier than cutting solid lumber. That's another reason this is a great "intro to table saws" project.

How did you adhere the calendar to it? Is it just leaning on the support?

It's just sitting on the little ledge and leaning against the back. Nothing is adhered.
