I’ve had doubts with it as well but I always end up keeping it around. Still a great pedal

Nice video Sean, 1st time on your page. Sounds great, I don't know how Trainwrecks are supposed to sound via any guitarist that uses or has used one on multiple recordings the way you could associate say a Dumble & Robben Ford's signature sound, so I can't put any stock into the comment about the pedal not capturing the amp's mojo. My only negative comment would be-I wish reviewers of these overdrive pedals would run them into an already overdriven amp to juice up what you already have for solos or just for an over the top almost out of control sound. I think that there's a pretty good population of guitarists that would love to hear that demo'd as well. I'm a bit if an overdrive junkie, and love experimenting with using various amounts of gain from the amp & pedal to get that sustain some of us crave for shredding at our best.

Hey buddy! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it enough to want to Subscribe. Regarding your suggestion: this particular pedal isn’t really designed to be run into an amp that’s already overdriven. This is much more of a Distortion meant to do the bulk of the work for gain and not supplement what the amp is doing like a Tube Screamer would. Not that you couldn’t try it, it’s just not a sound I go for with this particular pedal. I’m glad you enjoyed the video 👍

Ok, it's good. But I'll never sell my Jetter Traindrive. It's possibly Brad Jetter's best pedal, along with the mighty Jetdrive. He also does awesome Dumble pedals. The Traindrive captures that nasty bite of a cranked, hot-rodded EL34 Trainwreck and then bites your head off! It is *nasty*. The Vertex is maybe a little smoother, with more bottom end. More scoopy as well. Ofc, it depends on the guitar/pups/amp. The Traindrive nails the touch-sensitivity like you wouldn't believe. I'd love to hear an A/B between the Jetter and the Vertex. The Jetter has 3 knobs. So that's one louder. :) The link to that Trainwreckvideo!? I'm not seing it. Great demo, as always . Loving my Opamp Muff that you inspired me to buy :)

Matt Gilbert thanks for the heads up Matt! I had typed a nice description with some history and tribute to Ken but for some glitchy reason it didn’t get saved. All this talk of Jetter has me curious...🤔

Nice simple control layout. Always a bit hard to know whether a pedal will work with a setup from a demo video though.

Of all the "amp in a box" type pedals, this one is by far the worst and least like the real amps themselves. Great demo but unfortunately the T Drive sounds like it captured the sound of farts into a pedal.
