Gibson USA 2016 Les Paul Studio Faded T (Satin Ebony)
www.gak.co.uk/en/gibson-usa-20...
The Gibson USA 2016 Les Paul Studio Faded Traditional is a stripped-back model that doesn't cut any corners where it counts. The unbound mahogany body has a gorgeous faded finish that gives in a vintage look and smooth feel. The round '59 neck profile is super comfortable for long playing sessions, the thick rosewood fingerboard looks great and adds warmth to the tone. A pair of Burstbucker Pro pickups deliver a massive output that cleans up beautifully as well as handling distortion like a pro. If you want all-American Gibson tone without breaking the bank, look no further than the Gibson 2016 Les Paul Studio Faded T.

I have a les paul studio. Paid 1200$ us for it. Sounds amazing just plugged straight into a marshall. The only issue I do have is the g string goes out of tune at times. Too much for what is considered to be the top of the line Brand like Gibson. Our local guitar center doesn't have an esp ec1000 deluxe in stock to play and compair it to. The Gibson did also come with a nice hard case which the esp does not. The esp is 900 but add another 180$ for the case and it's the price of a brand new les paul studio.

That first distortion test sounds horrible, really odd to show such a specific (and honestly very odd) distortion in a comparison test, though the rest was an excellent comparison. I'd give it to the Gibson hands down, the cleaner tones had a bit of hum (not sure what that was, haven't heard that in other demos) though even beyond that there seemed to be so much more depth to the sound, especially in the mids, the LTD seemed to have punchier lows and highs that just felt lesser. The second distortion test sounded even more like this to me, loved the Gibson's sound by far (not to say the LTD didn't sound excellent, own an LTD myself).

Contoured body, ergonomic set neck, Tone Pros bridge/tailpiece combo, 24 accessible frets, ebony fretboard, volute for headstock strength, Seymour Duncan '59/JB combo and to top it all off, the new ones have a proper twelfth fret inlay (instead of the FUGLY block w/ text inlay) for a FRACTION of a Gibson. Gibson should make a modern Tribute that has the same kind of features as the EC-1000s. I don't want to play anything but jumbo stainless steel frets. Once you're used to that any trad guitar just feels like a lot of friction, both the fretboard wood and the grittier nickel frets. I'd much prefer a Nashville made, American looking Gibson to a typically way too flashy looking Japanese import.

Great playing, but distorted tone in first half of video was the worst I've heard bar one. The distorted tone in the second part of the video was considerably better but had a really annoying boxy sounding room acoustic or some sort of reverb and delay added. This made it hard to compare the real tone of each guitar. The clean tones were much better.

Well, I've tested 7 guitars at a local store. price range from £300 to £700 and walked out with exactly the same Gibson Studio. Just felt so easy to play, the sound was a lot brighter and just felt right..

As you said bro, I´d prefer classical sound, so I´d have to go with the Gibson´s Les Paul Studio. First Gibson in my life :)

You want a guitar which has a fancy name on the headstock, but sucks at everything else and spent lots of money for said name?Buy the Gibson. You want a quality build, high performance guitar, with great features and playabillity for less money?Buy the ESP and you will never look at a Gibson again.

The features discussion was great. BUT, If you are going to do a "VS", when it comes to audio, you need to talk about the settings on the guitar, as well as what pedals and amp (with settings) that you are running it through. Then you need to play the SAME thing on both guitars, and play them back to back. The idea is to *try* and make them sound the same. If you play different riffs, with different settings, it's not really a "vs" at all.

They are very similar, but personally I choose Gibson. I already own a Gibson, ES 175 archtop and I love it! I was looking for a solid body and the new Les Paul Studio looks perfect for me: Gibson quality and a very good price. Thanks for the review!

The ltd would eat the gibson alive cause its just a better guitar. i was a gibson man until i found this 1000,401,250 . i was raised to love fender but always went against my dad cause i liked the les paul standard and wasnt even aloud to bring it in the house cause dad did not like gibson. but anyway the ltd 1000 with those jumbo 24 frets and its smaller neck that feels great unlike the half a baseball bat neck gibson offers is just awsome and if you dont see it your nuts. ive always heard its all about what you like. I disagree i think most people just arent good enough to know. ps: very sorry

lol for all the cry babies, he used regular distortion in the second half of the video and it's actually a decent review that makes you hear the differences between the guitars. All it takes is actually watching the video instead of being quick to go and bitch about it in the comments.
