GP is always so calm and focused. And Max did an incredible last stint on the hard tyres. He couldn’t keep the heat in the tyres due to not optimal set up of the car since the difficult Friday. Tyres weren’t worn but simply TOO COLD so he had no grip and it felt like driving on ice, he said himself. And he couldn’t make anymore track limits… cos he already had had the last warning, and he didn’t 💪 Fantastic weekends result. Difficult start of the weekend, yet POLE and WIN 💪 while NOT having the fastest car here 💪

urm, lando had exactly the same issues, but he used trial and error to get the tyres working again - seems Max was unable to do that was well as Lando. Maybe he will get better in time, dont fret

After the mistake and gab grown to 3 sec, Lando had time to recover the tires (Said the commentary) and that how he was able to catching Max Not to mention minor mistakes Lando made in corner exits that lost him couple tenths. Lets not forget this is Imola, narrow and hard to overtake. Without the mistakes he made, Lando probably able to catch Max in two or one lap before finish but passing is another story. We see how Piastri trapped behind Carlos for so long

This is why I love this sport so much. The team work is fantastic and the calm before the Strom is amazing.

It's just that contrary to game race engineers he picks good moments to give clear and concise information. Definitely one of the best and a huge contributor to Red Bull's/Verstappen's success.

Those last laps were just too tense. Loved it!

Nothing against Xavi but this exactly shows how much better they are. The drivers can rely on them, have clear communications and they give the information they need. They really take some thinking load away from the drivers so they can focus on the driving itself.
