can we talk about how Furina is basically the mad hatter? "When the Mad Hatter pops up again later in Alice, the Queen threatens him with decapitation after recognizing him, but he escapes to live again in Through the Looking Glass. However, he doesn't evade his legal troubles, as he finds himself condemned for a crime he hasn't committed yet". sounds SUSPICIOUSLY like the archon quest, especially since there are multiple Alice in Wonderland references in fontaine already. Then the tea parties of course, as well as "The Hatter appears again as a witness at THE KNAVE of Hearts' trial, where the Queen appears to recognize him as the singer she sentenced to death". or "The destruction of his clan broke something in Tarrant's [the hatter's] mind - causing him to become detatched from reality and also develop a slight split personality". Like her skill set and her character. Down to the heterochromia. i love this so much.

Yes! Finally, someone sees all the Alice in Wonderland references! People are too caught up with 'But Fontaine is supposed to be based on France' that they don't seem to see it. Although I view Furina as the Queen of Hearts, but when I first met her she immediately reminded me of Maddie Hatter from "Ever After High". I do believe that many of the characters are based on multiple Wonderland characters: Like Lyney and Lynette representing Tweedledee and Tweedledum as well as the Cheshire Cat. Sigewinne being the March Hare and White Rabbit. Wriothesley being the Mad Hatter because he must have his tea and is with the 'March Hare' Sigewinne. Your take on Furina is also really good and gives me further proof that Fontaine is basically Wonderland. I love it!

Wow! Since patch 4.0, as a history enjoyer, I randomly thought her design might be influenced by Marie Antoinette. Furina has long white hair combined with bob haircut. Queen Marie Antionette had long pale blonde hair which turned white the night before her execution due to stress. The hair then was cut short for the guillotine’s blade to fall on her neck. From watching today’s livestream I was like: whoa… my crazy suspect is kinda right ig? Your depiction was really cool tho. I love reading players piecing all the information together :D

Loved the energy between Sarah, Amber and Ray - it was like watching a trio of close friends interacting filled with both cringe and funny moments. The whale looks like the coolest boss ever, Skirk is . . . as I'd expected but I just KNOW Furina is going to give us the biggest plot twist.

Genuinely entertained by you guys' chemistry. I know there's a script (idk how scripted jokes and quips are, but even if they are, it doesn't replace charisma). No one else can deliver Furina's laugh like Amber, and no one can say "Disappointed" quite like Ray, ahahahahaha. Seriously, ya'll made me actually laugh.

Furina looks incredible, I loved everything about her. The live was so fun and full of incredible content, I can't wait to play and the voice actors of Lumine, Neuvilette and Furina are so fun I had fun

In my opinion, Fontaine is the best region so far for all the content available, the exploration is wide and diverse, and we are uncovering so much lore, it's really amazing. I have an aesthetic preference for Liyue but Fontaine is much richer in content. I'm so happy that every update brings new stuff to explore and try out, they really are outdoing themselves. Huge hearts for the devs!

But his line in the trailer makes me think that he will have to judge and possibly be the one who has to kill Furina. But since the whale appears to be in the Opera Epiclese, maybe Childe interrupts the trial unintentionally and puts it to a halt with the whale now being the more important issue. That would be an interesting twist.

It's safe to say that Focalor, like Tartaglia and Wanderer, is a stance character. And we're gonna fight that All Devouring Whale like how Pinocchio caused it to sneeze!

Don’t know if you’ve already done it but the erinnyes quest only takes up around 10-20 minutes maybe less so it’s a lot shorter than the aranara quest

Its wild how they actually foreshadowed the ending at the start of this livestream. You can hear how she reaffirms herself in her real self voice to what a god is. "No slip ups." At first I thought she was doing an Ainz but in reality it was some much much deeper.

Im in love with how dramatic everyone in fontaine is. I was the most nervous about this nation of all of them, and everything from the environment to the writing to the absolutely stunning vocal performances has been SS tier. about to drop 500 pulls on what is clearly going to be the best archon. She could do all of 2 damage and actively hurt my team the entire time, and id still pull for the octopus with a hat.

This was exciting! Watched the complete livestream for the first time in a while! Really excited for furina and saving up. And the quests and story seem so exciting. I was really curious why furina was so weird and kinda weak willed!

They didn’t even showcased or sneak peek OST for the weekly boss. They did that in 3.2 livestream, now they don’t. Thank god JP livestream exists.

Seeing how Furina is now calling herself Furina instead of Focalor, my guess is that she gives Nuvellete his full authority and he'll be the one to save everyone. Since Furina is no longer the archon by losing authority, she'll no longer be Focalor

I doubt that is what Furina's plan was since it logically would have been WAY easier just to do that from the start if that was her plan rather than leaving it to literally the last minute. We also see that Furina's helpers are present in the boss fight so like with Nahida, it looks like Furina will be assisting us in fighting the Whale. It isn't like the god names are always mentioned that much. Nahida's god name, Beur, is barely mentioned at all. Plus, even Furina would probably be careful as giving one of the Soveriegn's back their full power might trigger a reaction from Celestia that could destroy Fontaine (with either the sky nails or the Heavenly Principles).

@@brynphillips9957 To do that means Furina needs to sacrifice herself and it seems she is scared of dying based on the reaction she had with us who choose to fight her at the beginning and Arlecchino trying to assasinate her. So it might took her a long time to finally decide to sacrifice herself to save Fontaine. I think 4.2 quest will be around that. I mean, even Zhongli needed to fake his death to give the Gnosis away.

Absolutely loved this livestream, and am extremely excited for the next update! I havent been this engaged in an archon quest in a while, and Furina has captivated me, so Im definitely pulling for her. Great job as always on the livestream everyone!

Childe suddenly getting an insane power amp and having abyssal signs like blackhole imagery is so cool to me. I wonder just how powerful he will get in the story. Heck he might even get a promotion on his harbinger rank
