If a man as great as David (a man after God’s own heart) can fall who are we to think we cannot fall too! I agree with Pastor Gary, we make ourselves vulnerable when we arrogantly boast it will not happen to us!

Of course she has some culpability! It's not like he ran over there and immediately threw himself on her. She could have said no. She could have sent for her husband. She could have called out, as per Deuteronomy 22. Stop treating females like they are always innocent angels. They most surely are not.

@@Yesica1993 it doesn't tell us what her reaction was, but it literally says he took her. And besides that, since you're just making up what she "could" have done - she could also have been afraid to say no to a king. In either case, as the pastor said, God didn't find her responsible so who are you to even try? And you can save your condemnation of "females" for someone who cares, this discussion regards two individuals.

We are to bring our flesh under control. We have no excuse putting ourselves in these positions. You should not forget those that are hurt and breaks homes.if we stay in the WORD WE WILL HAVE THE STRENGTH. the church is full of sexual sin. That and other sins that isn't taken care of in LOVE is why people are staying away!!!! We worship in homes.

I disagree that she has NO responsibility here. As I said in a response to another comment here, of course she has some culpability! It's not like he ran over there and immediately threw himself on her. She could have said no. She could have sent for her husband. She could have called out, as per Deuteronomy 22. I’m gay and I have listened to the parts where he is against homosexuality. Do I hold him accountable for what he said? As a Christian, I don’t. I have come across the same lesson so many times that it’s part of my second nature to allow grace to come in even when it makes no sense to do so, simply because I was given grace that way. We live in great times, where the truth of the Bible is becoming ever more apparent and radiant. I congratulate Pastor Hamrick for making a choice to be so open and vulnerable when it would have been so much easier to turn a blind eye. I pray his time at Cornerstone Chapel will continue and leave a lasting legacy behind. In Jesus’ might name, amen.

What on earth are you talking about? YOU are not "allowing grace" to him, as though he's saying something wrong. Homosexuality is a sin and you need to repent, while Christ still grants you breath to do so!

@danieltan2869 Jesus loves you beyond measure and there's no doubt it John 3:16 but if you read the Bible there is nothing in it that encourages a homosexual lifestyle. It is sinful just as is adultery (keep listening to this series) and all other sins. If you are saved you would want to live a life that pleases Jesus Christ and not your own flesh. God's grace and mercy is toward all just as His punishment regarding sin in our lives. If you are saved you are my brother in the Lord and I would encourage you to read the Bible, ask Jesus to show you His way and seek the help from any pastor who preaches and teaches the Word of God.

Lost me at ugly doesn’t tempt. Left the message- A person who hears this and feels they are not of attractive countenance, would be wounded…and Jesus doesn’t go around destroying bruised reeds…Matthew 20:12. Be kind.

You compared David with Joseph and you falsely accused Joseph that he wanted Potafer's wife that idea is not in scripture. She is the one who was lusting Joseph. He was innocent. Please do not change God's word!
