In short: Verification refers to whether you are doing procedures correctly in every phase, but Validation is done finally when you complete the software and you check it is working according to user requirements and does it meet the specifications made initially.

Verification checks if the software is being built correctly, following design and requirements. It's an internal process conducted during development. Validation checks if the software meets user needs and expectations in the real world. It's done with real data and users after development.
