Venture to Prince William Sound. Part 1
During the summer of 2013, we took Fleming 65-001, Venture, from Vancouver Island to Prince William Sound in Alaska. After we left the protection of the Inside Passage and ventured into the Gulf of Alaska we stopped first at Lituya Bay which is the subject of another video. From there we continued north into Prince William Sound where we spent 28 days. This video covers the first half of our time in the Sound.

Such glorious scenery... it looks so untouched... I cannot think of a better way to see it than by boat... thank you for sharing :)
Thank you for sharing this. We are from Wisconsin, USA, and took our children to Alaska that summer as well and toured the Sound. This video brings back great memories. God's creation is glorious, isn't it?

Amazing journey.
I am sure it has been pointed out, but the Valdez was not in 1979, it was 1989 close to my golden birthday. Being a visitor up here in the Pacific Northwest I have watched all of your videos! They have inspired me and I recommend them to every yacht owner I meet!

Tephodon - At very slow speeds I’m guessing it’s safe, they did seem to be almost coasting. But yes, I’d be nervous negotiating that passage!
Very good
May I ask as to what the dates were when you would have been between Vancouver and Juneau? It is possible I was on a boat that you passed as I was there from June 4th until June 14th, 2013.
I’d like to know how the devil you can slip through those ice laden waters without damaging the hull? One would think it could be a major issue.
Is the Venture steel hulled or wood?
