The code lighting on those Rosenbauers is really excellent. Nice to see their department still rolling with the ALF's. Long live ALF.

Great compilation of catches there!!! The first truck response (TDA) had the worst code lighting, which is interesting since it is a ladder truck (ALF, older). Was that a rescue/rotator rig you filmed? I did not see that on the list of apparatus for Ventura FD.

If your talking about the truck that honked the horn and gave a brief light show, that is repair 3, a brand new repair unit. And yea the lighting on 140 isn’t the best, thanks you!!

@@socalfirebuff91377 Thank you, I was not sure if that was a repair rig or smaller rotator-rescue, not as gigantic as the ones LAFD and LACOFD roll with as "heavy rescues". I thought it was interesting the repair rig showed off the code lights, I thought "shops" or "repairs" usually did not sport red/code lights. You are lucky to be up with Ventura FD, they seem like a progressive agency with great equipment, and I happen to still love the yellow rigs (I grew up in Santee, CA, which had the tradition of yellow paint, but more recently decided to go standard red). Take care.

@@darrens.4322 they don’t have red code lights, just amber ones, and usually they don’t turn them on when not on a call, so we were lucky to get them

battalions and squads use the whelen epsilon, the older battalions, older squads, dozers, and most of the misc units use the touchmaster delta, and the regular engines used the whelen hfc295, with the Q as well obviously

  • @socalfirebuff91377

2 reasons, 1, its a VCFD compilation, 2, VCSO is pretty hard to catch code 3, and I haven't been able to get a good video on my camera of them yet.

@@socalfirebuff91377 yeah i wasn't talking about this vid in particular just in general on youtube i hardly ever see any VCSO vids. but i understand that its harder to catch Police responding than it is FD or EMS. i usually only see my local PD running when i'm already driving

@@mrmook3001 yea, i’ve gotten close a few times, but the big road near me, kanan, is mostly run by CHP, so most car crashes will just get CHP, they sometimes get SO, but car crashes are rare enough in 36s so it’s pretty difficult.

Who was the genius that decided it was a good idea to put a Q and Train Horns on the little paramedic squad trucks😂😂😂 Where I work, the only vehicles that have horns are the engines and ladders. We might put horns on our new rescue tho Nice Comp! Love this stuff 👍🏽
