The Ventrac Sidewalk Drop Spreader is the ultimate tool for easily spreading deicing materials with precision. The primary function of the SA250 Drop Spreader is dropping salt directly down onto a sidewalk. This ultimately prevents salt from spreading onto grass or landscapes, keeping it on desired surfaces and minimizing waste.
The Drop Spreader's unique agitation system is designed to prevent bridging of material inside the basin and does not use vibration like most traditional salt spreaders. Without the vibratory component, the spreader is more durable over time, and its stainless steel construction makes it resistant to rust and corrosion.
Material is evenly distributed using a unique compression roller system. An easy gate adjustment allows for fine-tuning flow rates based on the type of material being spread and the desired quantity being applied. The wireless remote control regulates five motor speeds for quick flow adjustments from the operator seat.
SA250 Drop Spreader holds 200lbs of salt, with an optional extension that holds an additional 200lbs. Designed with a narrow frame and a 40" drop pattern, this spreader is ideal for spreading material on sidewalks and other narrow walkways with precision flow control. Universal mounting options are available for a 2" receiver hitch or a category one three-point hitch.

We use this and its great, have it on 3pt mount on 4500. Use broom a lot on sidewalks, 20” storm couple of weeks ago I grabbed a blower on an emergency PO. That thing is a monster and did a great job! Only thing I would change is 3 pt adapters should be stainless or galvanized. Just for that added detail. Just took delivery of second 4500 . Sir would the spreader work if the trackter has a snow blower on it sir
Sir can a person that could drop just like ice melt would that work sir or is there a lever to open it up
Man I Have to ask will this thing distribute fertilizer?
Will this spreader also drop sand or a mixture of sand & salt?

Yes, it will spread salt, sand, bulk salt. It would probably spread road rock if it was small enough to go through.

About how long does 200lbs of salt last (on each setting) either by time or distance or both?
