How is a dark knight weaker than a simple militia? They were wrecked by dark knights in the first game

In all honesty, the crowd control on the orcs is one of the best because of how tough to kill they are, same as with the zombie tower they need supporting towers to shine

zombie tower, i think you are right. but orcs... i think dark night is better, but orc is very chip. Price-performance ratio is good.

I agree with the Orcs being one of the best, as they are in quite a large quantity from the start. I actually tested the dark knights a lot because I REALLY wanted to make them good, they are good on paper but are actually the worst tower for blocking in my opinon. Their invulnerability is good, but you never know when it triggers, the orcs also cost wayyy less. (keep in mind that I'm a free to play player) I prefer the Orcs over the DK and my favorite blocking tower is the Specters Mausoleum if you wanna know.

The orcs are best i general. The darkknights very useful, especially in the north with the hunteresses. The hearsayers are best if there is one path and you pair them with the other two barracks.

@@matejspisak901 NEVER use invulnerability. It stops them from attacking, and since they have decent attack speed, it means they instakill more, less time blocking people means more people being blocked in the end. At max level they can stand strong against bosses for a good 30 seconds.

the dark knights are overpowered if its on the ice maps, it just leaves almost ALL the throwing units stuck in place for like 5 minutes

@@TheNelman I remember when I used only archers in Kingdom Rush and Origins. Golden Bow's where OP. Shadow archers seems slower and weeker. This is wierd. Evil forces should be stronger😛

I see what you're saying, but I don't think it's an issue. The enemies in this game also seem weaker. Everything seems sort of watered-down. Even with the ability to have 5 types of towers to place, you still sort of end up with less towers than in the previous games, since those could split into 2 paths. Essentially you had 8 towers before, now you have 5. Although you do have more selection in the sense there's 11 (or 16 if you pay the money) towers you can swap around. The heroes of this game are also a hell of a lot stronger than most heroes from the previous games (except maybe Ingvar from the 1st game and Bonehart from the second). So that makes the game way easier too. Hell, even the 3 free heroes you get are all amazing in their own right. Veruk brings unbridled stopping-power, Asra brings immense damage, and Oloch is a crowd-control god. Meanwhile the free heroes from the previous games... sorta sucked. I don't think it's a bad thing though. I mean, set the difficulty to Veteran or Impossible, and it's DEFINITELY still hard. It just feels like the normal mode is a lot easier. Not to mention, it's been so long since their last Kingdom Rush game, I bet many of the people who picked this up are new to the series, so it's nice that it's so easy.

Even though this game wan't as good as the previous, you have to keep in mind how amazing ironhide is at balancing. Not a single level past lvl 1 and the tutorial can be completed with just one tower, it's just not possible, but that's because none are meant to be, every tower is balanced to work together well! Ironhide knows what their doing, and succeeded in making a fun, balanced game.

It's unfair to compare towers by testing their solo power against the same enemy wave. 1. A certain tower is only powerful against certain types of enemy(depends on enemies' damage resistance, speed, special skills, etc.) and certain enemy waves(some waves have fewer but individually stronger enemies, some have larger amount but individually weaker enemies). 2. Also, some seemingly weaker towers would work incredibly well when combined with some other towers in complementation. 3. Some towers' special skills are not so worth upgrading, so it's a better choice to spend money upgrading other towers or getting some other more useful skills for max-graded towers, rather than fully upgrading a single tower. A good strategy game is always dynamic, and that's what makes it fun.

Ikr i use the the Infernal mage for its armour break and its good combine them with other tower

The laser tower was INSANELY useful in the post campaign missions. There were so many bigger enemies with tons of health and armor I found them really good for almost all the missions. Honestly, the towers I used the least were the boomerang tower and the blimp. The blimp is just WAY too expensive for how little damage it does, it's abilities also aren't that good. The boomerang tower isn't very expensive but it doesn't do much damage and I couldn't find a good reason to take it over the archer tower.

The towers seem somewhat more geared towards combos. The shaman has Healing Roots, the furnace has Abrasive Heat, the goblimp has the scout and so on. These abilities benefit surrounding towers but they do nothing in a vacuum.

I like elite harassers the most because of the bows they have. having 2 barracks of them with 1/2 dps towers will destroy your enemys

@@user-kq6kw4k89 I find it funny that 3 years after the game release. Elite hairasser+Fire mage with Affliction(Debuff for both armor/MR) was best way to beat the game on casual difficulty with 0 star loss.

The orc barrack worst in the game? Imo they are the barracks with the most consistency. I rarely upgrade my barracks and keep them just to block stuff at the very end and its the only one that gives me 3 blocking units for the cheapest price and the ones i like the most because of this. The video was good but would be better if you had voice commentary with it

I remember first playing kingdom rush as a kid, I was just obsessed. Then my hype wave stopped and i even sort of forget about the game series and decided to revisit it and then I found out that there is a new kingdom rush game so I was hyped even more, I am glad I returned to kingdom rush.

Most OP abilities: skeleton spawn every 16 seconds [bone flingers], mind control every 23 seconds [mausoleum], beehive [goblirangs], instant kill[shadow archers]

Shadow archer instant kill can cost you a heart, it disappears whilst shooting an enemy to instant kill another one

I've always loved the technological towers. I'm so glad they have those again unlike the last game. That Zeppelin especially is a sight to see.

For me I consider the spectra mausoleum the best tower.......for no reason.

How can.. a mere grunt soldier from the first rush kill a maxed up orc, dark knight, heck even a towering skeleton twice its size... so easily.

I place dark knights for big dudes. if maxed then can hold tanky guys with the instakill. i just assist them with archers

after playing the game now i understand: the enemies here: footman soldiers and magician, are one of the strongest in the game.:)

The bone flingers were so useful i finished the game with them i built bone flingers on all tower areas.... I would love to have the witches i like the tower and the way they fight

Which is the best option for ice levels?

The orc warriors are meant to be cheap towers which can help if you're not expecting an enemy to pass your defenses and help out in a pickle. Great vid tho.

what's the point of this, each tower has different abilities. 1. All the towers that deal area damage, are useless if you don't make a choke point and/or dealing with 3+ mobs per hit. 2. The unit towers are usually about doing exactly that, blocking enemies so that other towers can deal with them. 3, 4, 5, 6, can make a thousand more points.... just spawning one tower on random mobs running free is pointless

13:50 i dont woud say this tower is good or recommended as barracks unit. He is in my opinion and logicaly refused, a tower whose true potential is in combination with other towers, like the furnace or the rotten forest. As a singel tower for a must-be-good strategie he is simply too random! I mean not only that all his abillitys are random, like other towers, but his raily point doesnt even exist and i think this is the weakest point of that tower, that you cann't navigate were your barracks troops are going. Exept for this and a bunch SMALL other SLIGHT misstakes a great Video, (all this critism is my personal but hopefully resonable opinion) thats worth a like from every KR-Fan. good job

But i.just think like every other premium tower it is a tower you need skill and a good strategie for, and as you saied he is ,,highly recommendet'' i woud say that you sure mean: ,,if you can handle him, he is highly recommendet for sure! But if not i wano say to all beginners try him out before starting a hard and long level with it. Again a great Job makiing this kind of Video, i think i watched it the 4. Time.

I see what you mean, but I think orcs suck, dark knights are balanced in killing and blocking, and harassers are very good at killing enemies, you don't need to be good at blocking if they die that fast. Also, they have a HUGE and I mean HUGE rally range.

The bone flinger does all the same things, golem, skeletons but can attack ranged and have normal tower functions, the cemetary doesnt

the regular barracks are not the worse they are the only tower the has 3 defenders and its really cheap i never upgrade it only if they die i put them at the very end so the other towers support them
