@@EchtMartijn we have explained it. KZread is killing the average view per video the more videos we release. This is such an amazing story. I mostly study World War I and World War II, but older medieval history is also interesting too, especially the Crusades . Amazing how the Venetian navy clashed with the Muslim navies in a battle between one of the most important religious powers of the time. Love how King and Generals showed how important strategy and tactics are when it comes to wining wars. Every battle and siege changes history.
The Crusades are endlessly fascinating to study! I appreciate these stellar videos so much.⚔🔥👏

That would be somewhat understandable in the case of Byzantium, but what the meek Catholic populace of Hungary's Zara castle have done against Venice except having some loot? :D And in this video too, Venice organizes a crusade, then stops for a year to besiege some fort on Corfu on the way for its own gains until its own crusaders start deserting and the crusader states message them that it would be nice if they finally did some, you know, crusading stuff :D Lol I think there are a number of more devout and zealous Christians nowadays than there were in Venice back then and hey, then it was the norm that everyone is just a heathen-bashing fananatic zealot

My question is wo negotiated with Venetians on behalf of Jerusalem about privilages they would receive in return for their military assistance to crusader states when Crusader King was in enemy captivity. Also it seems Venetians took great advantage of Baldwin-II"s captivity dictating more favourable terms for them upon Kingdom.

In my opinion Venice is a remnant of Rome. Its historical origins, architectural influence, cultural richness, political heritage, and integration with Roman culture all contribute to its undeniable connection to Rome. Venice's foundation in response to the fall of the Western Roman Empire, its resemblance to Roman urban planning and architecture, its inheritance of Roman cultural and artistic traditions, its development as an independent city-state with a similar political system, and its integration into the Roman province of Venetia et Histria all highlight its role as a remnant of Rome. In fact Venice is not just a remnant, but a vibrant embodiment of Rome's influence, preserving its legacy through the ages.

The Venetian Crusade No-Not-That-One.
According to Andalusian sources in 499 AH or 1105 AD, a Crusader fleet of 70 ships perished due to a storm near Sicily. the fleet came from the Western Sea, meaning the Atlantic Ocean. It is likely that they were Nordic or English Years later, between 1107 and 1111 AD, a Norwegian fleet came to the Holy Land In 507 AH or 1113 AD, a Crusader fleet departed from France containing hundreds of ships and +150,000 fighters according to Ibn Adhari, was completely destroyed by a stotm and those in it perished .
