Really lovely to watch. A horse loving what he's doing and so good to see it all being done from the ground. I spend hours walking my young endurance horses in hand all over the countryside here in France and inventing all sorts of obstacle courses for them to improve their confidence. Really great seeing it done with the cross country obstacles - who wouldn't want to own that horse after that sort of base has been put in.

Pauline Lanwermeyer Have you had a well trained horse jump into the rope and go so crazy that they injure themselves? Mine just stop every time. Have you ever fallen while lunging a horse or playing with it in the jumping arena? Mine walk up to me and sniff my face. Have you ever had a horse run away with a lunge line still attached while bucking or bolting? Mine don't even come close to injuring themselves thanks to a thin snap that breaks easy.

perhaps knowing the horse is in order by using natural horsemanship techniques so that one can trust the actions rather that reactions and cultivating the feel for the limits of the amount of give and take, for a man is weaker in mind and in mentality to a perfect horse. Starting with an undamaged, no trauma induced ever, but well accessed for type of personality to be compatible with your approach or demands can help success without injury. I am not saying or suggesting that one cannot have accidents while learning and the path getting to the point where this trainer is able to ask of this horse and his hold on the line with a nylon web or leather traditional halter on a horse that strong and energetic was an easy process of operant conditioning just saying that the requests being made are matched on occasion by some rebellion at the end of the line and yet given back kindly by the horse rather than being a contest due to the feel and give skills the trainer allowed in his release at the split second the horse new he had the fellow yet decided it was ok to play nice. The relationship was established as a friendly not adversarial, thus yielding of fruitful results. best of luck to you. It is possible as long as one knows the limitations of self, horse's willingness and playfulness and his strengths mentally, spiritually and of course the environs relationship to the instinctually superior animal that the horse is compared to the weak human.
