Transcription
There’s a belief that hair loss leads to a total lack of hair and while this is certainly true in most cases, many individuals will first revert from terminal hair to vellus (dormant) hair before the hair follicle completely dies.
In this video we’ll take a look at what vellus hair is, and how it comes to grow within your follicles after balding takes place.
In addition, you’ll learn the steps you can take to reverse the effects of hair loss, and convert vellus hair back to terminal hair.
Vellus hair is short, thin, lightly-colored hair that develops on the human body in childhood. This type of hair is common in both men and women (though, it’s more noticeable in women), and is a natural occurrence.
All hair goes through a growth cycle. However, vellus hair’s cycle differs significantly and is triggered by a different process.
To get a better idea of how vellus hair develops - and why vellus can replace terminal in the event of hair loss - it helps to understand what each of the body’s main hair types are.
•Lanugo. This hair is the first hair produced by fetal hair follicles, and is present on the fetus from about 16 weeks gestation to anywhere from 33 weeks to birth.
•Vellus. This hair replaces lanugo, and is commonly referred to as “peach fuzz”. It’s present in children and adults, and is essential for temperature control and sensory awareness.
•Terminal. This hair is also present in both children and adults, though is more abundant in those who have reached the age of puberty and beyond. This is the type of hair found on the head, and is thicker, darker, and fuller than both lanugo and vellus hair.
With a better understanding of the three main hair types, it’s a bit easier to see how vellus hair transforms.
This is done through puberty - more specifically, the androgens that are produced during this time - and its transition from vellus to terminal is dependent on a number of factors. These include hormone levels and genetics…

Yeah this channel buys into the anti-finasteride horseshit and avoids talking of the ONLY scientifically PROVEN, FDA-approved treatment for balding, and instead gives you snake oil recipes to fuck your scalp with lol.

I've been derma needling and using natural topicals for about a month now. I have vellus hairs coming in along my hairline all at about the same length. Is this a sign of regrowth? I know it can be a sign of hairloss aswell, but they are all coming in sorta unison together. I really can't tell if this may be good or bad since they are not dark hairs, but could be the start of normal hair? Would this be a good sign? since they seem to be like an army marching from beyond my scalp.

@@jacobanderson6952 hairs fell out, didn't regrow normal hair. I feel vellus hairs are coming back again, but maybe a little ticker than before, still blond. Derma rolling may have thickened areas, but not the hairline noticeably, maybe a few dark hairs but nothing significant. I also stopped for about a month until yesterday had one pass threw at 1.5. Keto shampoo started and feel I'm getting better results after a month of every other day sometimes everyday, leave in 10-15 minutes. It's so hard to tell, MY hair has gotten better since not sure exactly waht it was. Starting low dose RU-58841 probably next week. Got topical fin, but feel I have low testosterone which I'm trying to fix before I jump on it. Natural topicals were to much work, I didn't like having oily hair all the time. Starting a dose of probaly 10-15mg ru every other day and taking it up from there soon. I do feel my hair has more or less stabilized with the nizorol shampoo, not noticeing hairs in my hand when I shampoo and rub my hair like I used to have, so now it's more so trying to regrow. That was a long reply I know. I do think the new vellus hairs are longer than the last vellus hairs, so that may be good. It's extremely hard to tell. I feel I don;t want to waste much more time and just going to start stronger things at low doses and see how I feel.

@@akatsukiX. That's amazing. minoxidil is a strong stimulant, It kind of pushes hair back to wear it was a few years ago, but it's a temporary fix. When you stop minoxidil it falls out again. Also it doesn't stop hairloss it just sets the clock back, so when you stop it will not go back to were is was, but were it would be if you never used it at all. This is what I've read. Maybe I should give it a try though. My hairline I believe has improved like 1or 2 out of ten. The thing is my hair loss was extremely slow and gradual, so a lot of the thickness in front I think I may have waited too long. I do believe minoxidil is solely the reason for your results, but the rest is healthy anyways so doesn't hurt. Do you actually derma roll twice a day or just minoxidil?
