Been using this light for just over 3 years now, not daily, but regularly and it hasn't failed me a single time (touch wood). I ordered mine from a well-known online shop in the far east for about a third of the price of the Vekkia. The on/off switch functions as before, without any problems. Using it for my rM1. If mine decides to call it a day, I'd gladly order a new one.

I have one of those lights. I took the clip completely off and slide the light between the reMarkable and its case. Works very well.

I bought this same light for my Remarkable 2 a couple of months ago. I’ve tried several book-type lights for the RM2, and this is the best one for me. The thinness is perfect. I don’t use the clip-attachment. If you need a solution for a front light for your RM2… this is it.

With the clip removed, this light actually fits perfectly in Supernote's "free gift" pouch in the pen holder. It's almost like it was made for it.

Always love your informative videos. I was going to get a Supernote, so bought a beanie hat with 3 different light intensities LED light in it that can be removed to wash the knit hat when needed. So one can carry the led light around as a flashlight. I also pull the black beanie hat over my eyes if I am up too late and need to go to sleep after the sunlight has arisen. If you put this into any Amazon site it will show various options Unisex LED Beanie Hat with Light I did not waste my money getting it as I do often use it at night. One very important NOTE is to not charge the LED lights on a fast charger and instead charge it slowly in a USB port I decided after your video about how to choose among various options, by deciding on your minimum requirements, that for me the voice dictation and having the largest size possible were so important, I am still waiting for the device I will get.

Heh, I had something similar for my gameboy pocket so many years ago.

Takes me back to the days if kilo in lights and the early Kindles for night reading in dark places. Then came built in front lighting and we have never looked back… until now.

I have minimal interest in the product, but I had to click in and watch anyway because your thumbnail for this one is absolute gold. The last time I had a light like this it was for my gameboy color, and it irritated me because it was in atomic purple instead of teal like my gameboy. :x

Very interesting :) another tool I would like to get is a Bluetooth page turn thingy, specially on a device wothout buttons (or in winter in bed :) ((maybe it could be used to skip ads on yt as well ;) ))

I like the Remarkable, but the lack of a backlight is very unfortunate. Its simply too dark. I'll get a Boox. thank you!!!

I've had one of these for more than a year and the power button on mine has held up well. The USB configuration is strange, but you get used to it. It goes a long time between charges too. When my kids were smaller, I actually used it as a night light all night long (not plugged in) and it still had battery in the morning.

There's an Kindle case (for an old generation Kindle) that has a swing out light that swings out. I would love if Supernote made a similar case. Just commenting this in case they're lurking in these comments :)

I still have a Kindle Keyboard with a case that has a pull out light. It’s fantastic. I still love this style of lighting sometimes, even over a completely evenly backlit Kindle screen. It seems like I’m reading an actual paperback book with a clip on light, I suppose.

in Italian language : Vecchia is phonetically identical and means : Old Female person like GRAND MOTHER. :)😀

If you hold in the center of the device, very annoying, if you offset the light to the side, minimally annoying.

i would be afraid of damaging the display with the clip
